Almost perfect
I've never purchased gloves online before, so I was a bit nervous. After reading dozens & dozens of Amazon reviews, I settled on this pair, along with two other brands. This was the only set that worked for me. The leather is buttery soft & supple, and looks & feels high quality. The fit is perfect (I purchased a Medium - size 7 - I have small hands and long slim fingers) - a little snug but not uncomfortably so - after just a couple of days they are relaxing a bit. The overall fit is very slender (i.e. not at all bulky) which is really helpful when fishing things out of a pocket or looking for something in a handbag. The slender, classy look also means they'll work well for a dressy evening event (when those eventually return, post pandemic). The touchscreen works well - it's limited to the thumb and index finger The only reason I'm rating these 4 and not 5 stars is that they're not super, super warm. Today we were out for a walk in dry 50 degree weather and my fingers felt a bit cold. They should work fine most of the time in a San Francisco Winter, which never gets too cold, but if you live in a much colder climate, these may not be right for you.

Not so fluffy inside
I don't really know why, but I expected the cashmere lining to be thicker and fluffier. This lining is thin and doesn't feel like a cashmere sweater. Otherwise, the gloves seem well-made and are all leather. Yes, they're tight going on, but as leather stretches over time, that's how it should be. I found the fingers a bit long, but I have unnaturally short fingers, so for folks with normal fingers, these should fit well.

Storm Gray is dark gray, not a bulky fit
Really a five star product. Four star review because description was not accurate in regard to the color of the Storm Gray gloves. They are a dark charcoal gray and the picture looks like an iridescent purple-gray color. The gloves are beautiful nonetheless. I purchased the Storm Gray Smart Tips. My knuckles measure 7 1/4 and while reviews said to order a size up I ordered the size 7 (small) and they fit perfectly. They will probably stretch so I could have even gone down to a 6.5 but I won't know until that happens. For now I am more than happy with the size I purchased. They have enough stretch to ball my hand into a fist. It's not stiff but very soft smooth leather. Doubt it's real leather but it looks and feel like 100% leather gloves I have owned before. Mine are lined with a knit material that is surely not cashmere but it's of a medium soft tight knit yarn that is better than bare leather alone. Great for commuting. Not great for doing work outside or being outside for extended periods. Bulkier insulated gloves would be better for that. The best thing is they ARE NOT BULKY like they look in the picture. I have small hands and fingers and they fit slim to my hands. At the same time the material is stretchy so I think they would fit larger hands/fingers just fine too! I also like that they are long and go about 3 inches past my wrist which is about a third of my forearm. No windy draft up my sleeve! The tags were on a little piece of material sewn on the inside with a hole. It's perfect if you want to attach glove clips without ruining your gloves. It's not thick and wouldn't stand much wear but it's a nice little detail. I highly recommend this product and would (and probably will) purchase again. I bought this with my own money out of desire/necessity, this is NOT a sponsored review in any way. Pics show the gray color against my light gray scarf, next to a navy leather glove and a black knit glove for comparison.

Nice leather gloves-glad to find them on Amazon
I’ve worn Fownes gloves for decades. This year they are impossible to find in stores. This particular pair is quite decent. I bought a size 7 which is a half size larger than I have worn in the past because my hands are aging and my knuckles are a bit larger than they used to be. I also now wear two large rings and wanted the gloves to be able to accommodate these changes. The gloves fit fairly well, but the thumbs are a little long. I haven’t tried the touch screen capability yet, but if it doesn’t work as promised that won’t be problematic for me. I bought the gloves in black and recommend them.

Great Upgrade!
I had my last pair of black leather gloves for 20+ years, I loved them and was dreading replacing them, but they were starting to fall apart. These gloves are every bit as good as the old ones and in some ways even better. The lining is soft and warm but not too warm, and the leather is supple and seems to be of very good quality. I was between sizes and opted for the larger size. They're just a tiny bit snug, but I know they'll stretch a little and conform to my hands as I wear them more. It would have taken longer to break them in if I'd gone with the smaller size. The touchscreen capability seems to work well and is a great convenience. I was worried they might be too long, but they go just a short way into the sleeve of my coat, which is perfect, as it keeps the cold out. They look very classy and are quite comfortable. Makes me wish I'd replaced my old ones sooner!

Good and bad
Love the soft leather and cashmere lining. Very warm. I also like the extra length to prevent the “cold wrist gap”. The touch/conductive fingertips works good, in my experience. However, I’ve only worn these less than 10 times and the seam is splitting on both gloves between index and middle fingers. The color (which I love) is coming off on the fingertips and back of the hands. I wear them only when driving; I’m not doing any yard work in these! I expected better from Fownes, but the quality of the gloves I had 20 years ago is long gone and not coming back.

My favorite gloves -classy and warm
I have several pairs of these now, because they are very nice. I get cold hands very easily and these do a good job while looking classy too. I like that they are long enough to cover up my wrists. The linining is a cashmere knit and is suprisingly warm. I have small hands and ordered them in size 7. 7 fits my hands well, but with each pair I got they were initially tight/extra snug over my knuckles. Repeated wearing has loosenedn them up. And again --- they are now my favorite gloves. Well worth the $,
