Great value for a 1440p IPS monitor
I am very happy with the display quality of this monitor given the price I paid. No bad pixels and very nice looking IPS 1440p panel with ideal resolution for what I need. The stand has no adjustability, but this was not necessary for me.

Awesome utility monitor for the price if you're looking for ...
Awesome utility monitor for the price if you're looking for a minimal bezel on one this size. It is a matte finish but the frosting/etch is more on the minimal side. Mine does have a stuck bright pixel but for the price I can live with it. I don't notice any light bleed on the edges. Viewing is fairly consistent even when viewing from an angle. I primarily use this for spreadsheets, terminal monitors and utility software so can't speak on refresh rate and smoothness of video nor gaming performance. This is a no frills monitor. i.e no USB inputs nor speakers but I don't need that extra fluff.

The monitor has potential, but falls short of expectations.
Acer UM.HX2AA.D03 27" Widescreen LCD 2560x1440 1k:1 K272hul (No Suggestions) DVI 4ms Speaker Monitor, Black For starters I just want to say that overall this monitor is great. I have used several large screen monitors and the design of this monitor is awesome. The image previewed by Amazon is wrong. They are showing is an older model. This model UM.HX2AA.D03 is borderless(displayed in my photos)The stock looking image with the white background came directly from Acer's websiteNow for the details.Pros:Good price point for the specs offered27 inch, 1440p displaying rich vibrant colors. There are no dead pixels**4-6ms refresh rate**. All the specs were tested with several games and work great. (Using the highest settings on the games)Borderless monitor.Comes with x1 cable: HDMI, DVI Dual link, Display Port, Power cordStand is very easy to set up.Menu is easy to navigate throughBuilt in speakers, for monitor speakers its actually pretty good.Cons:The blue light located at the bottom right indicating power is quite bright.I did not notice the "eye care" feature. I turned it on in the settings, and I still get a little bit of strain. Manageable, but I wanted more out of that feature. The biggest con, and a reason I might as for exchange/return is the backlight bleed. With regular use, only a small portion of bottom right corner was visibly bleeding.I thought maybe it was not too bad. I watched a movie and it was hard not to notice.I decided to take the backlight bleed test, and... I'll let the photos do the talking.

Great IPS viewing angles
No light bleed. Great IPS viewing angles, and rich color.I only made this review because I spent a LONG time researching a good in-between monitor for a gaming and media. This is exactly that.I did get this on a Cyber Monday sale for sub $275, which makes it a great monitor for the price point, and may be why I'm so happy with it... But it fits the bill. 27" to me is where you'd want 2560x1440+, and 4ms is great for IPS... do it.

Makes my old monitors look shabby
Ordered this as the middle monitor for a 3-monitor layout. The color and sharpness is remarkably better than a couple (older) dell flatscreens.

DOA (dead on arrival) and then fixed
Screen didn’t work on arrival. Hopefully Acer will accept proof of purchase and fix it. Will update if the screen actually is salvageable.Edit: changed this to a 5/5 for the product itself. Luckily, the refurbed screen was still under warranty. Acer shipped, fixed, and shipped back the screen. It’s working great and I’ve had no problems with it.Looks great running a few hi-res games.

Spend a bit more for a quality monitor even though it's tempting to go cheap
Im sure the monitor's picture quality could have been really nice, but unfortunately mine was DOA. In my opinion, the monitor's building materials were cheap and although it could get the job done, you're probably better off spending just a bit more to get a higher quality monitor. I went with the Dell S2716DGR which i got on sale for $350 (2k 144hz)

A good inexpensive display
I'm using this display as a second monitor for my laptop computer. It has done its job for 3 months now and I'm happy. To me, the screen quality seems to not be as good, but maybe that's because I'm comparing it to a retina display. I think that the real niche for this product is exactly the way that I'm using it--an inexpensive way to expand my laptop computer's desktop.

Looks beautiful and display quality is great
Looks beautiful and display quality is great. Speakers are not that great but did not expect it to be great.
