Together with a nice hole punch, this worked very well. Easy to use.
We had some custom (odd sized) sun shade fabric created to fill a gap between posts and a wall... but it didn't fit that well, so I got this kit (plus a fabric punch) and installed snaps in the shade fabric and posts in the posts and brick wall. Et voila...Also, when they made my black shade fabric, they used bright stainless fasteners which stood out, so I replaced them with the black snaps. The trickiest part was getting the right masonry bits and anchors to put the posts on the brick. I used these anchors (it comes with a screw that you won't need): https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08H3ZSP6Jand this punch: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07VML8C2YI don't know how rust resistant these are as yet, as we haven't gotten into the rainy season here. I'll report back when I get some results.I show both a snap and a post in each of my photos. One post is attached to brick, one to a redwood 6x6 post. I've curled the fabric back in one of them so you can see the snap and the post.

Absolute Garbage!!!!
These snaps are horrible. One can literally break the cheap screws off with your fingers, let alone trying to screw them into anything, even when pilot holes are drilled. Do not waste your money on this crap!
