Why did you pick this product vs others?: Easy install. Instructions relatively clear. Nobody getting into whatever door you put this thing on unless they are bulldozing it down! Put it on a side entrance door to my shop that I wanted to ensure was secure.

I'm getting ready to open a restaurant and needed a little extra security on the back door. This was an excellent solution and was very easy to install. I did have to modify my wall around my door frame but that has nothing to do with this product. That was something that I was anticipating. The design of this product however did make that aspect of modification for my wall very easy. The entire installation took less than 30 minutes. Highly recommend.

This is for an out swinging door only. There are two bars. One mounts to the door after drilling two holes in your door. The other bar hangs to the door mounted bar and is longer than the door to block opening the door by hitting the frame. The bar that mounts to the door measures 33 3/4 inches. This is model number 010036 for a 36 inch door. Order another model number, if your inside frame measures less than 33 3/4 inches. My inside frame for a 36 inch door measures 35 inches. This device increases your safety significantly when at home and unlike some locks, this is easy to lift up and remove even if you have never seen one before. If you have a window in your upper door, you can mount low so more difficult to reach from outside.

I got lucky. I ordered this product without fully appreciating that it is very specific to a type of door and configuration. I requires a steel, hollow core type door that is hinged to swing out that is a specific width (product comes in different sizes). It worked perfectly and was simple to install. Really it is quite genius and very easy to remove to open the door. Without providing any ideas for would be thieves I can envision a way to beat this. However you would need to have some specialty tools on hand, so yes a pro with a planned job could beat this but it would take a few minutes. coupled with security lights and an alarm should deter all but the serious pros. If it fits your door, this product is a no-brainer.

This is a must, I live out in the countryside, I we go out with our Motorhome quiet a bit. I've placed these on my rear doors of our home your are not coming though those doors they are rock solid. Great for any business or home. I will say anyone can break into a house if they are determined to but though a window 😂

Easy to install. This very visible bar has prevented several shoplifters from using our emergency door as a get-away door. Also makes the door a lot more difficult to pry open from the outside.

Great product was fairly easy to install. Works perfect to secure the back door of my salon. I did however have to buy the extra long bolts SB-P1-1015. I recommend if you door is deeper than 6’ inches
