SO FAR SO GOOD
40 + Years experience keeping various tropical fish. First off I am using this for additional flow in a heavily planted 29 gallon freshwater aquarium. The main reason I prefer the voyager 2000 over other brands. Is it's ease of servicability. Realize that all powerhead impellers will wearout, and many at this price point are not repairable. This one is and is simply easier than others I highly recommend on buying a spare impeller at the sametime you purchase this pump( available through sicce or ebay). Treat it like a car spare tire put it away until you need it rather than the delay of buying a new one. Additionally, because it is smaller than most you can stretch a max prefilter 3 sponge over it to prevent clogging and excessive wear. I can make 2 pump covers out the max 3 prefilters simply by covering the impeller basket completely then taper trimming them at a approximate 30 degree angel back (away from outflow)with scissors. When installed they do a really good job of catching fine bits of plant debri. Simply rinse them if you notice a reductiion in flow usually about 4 days time in my tank. I will add pics to demonstrate at a later date. Hope this helps.Additional tip when serviceing to clean useing q tips to throughly wipe down the internal opening where the magnetic portion of the impeller is housed. Lubricate inside opening, the impeller magnet as well as the impeller shaft with a very thin coat of vaseline to prevent noise, greatly extends life and function of pumps. This works for all filter/ pump impellers that are in direct contact with the water regardless of manufacturer.

Overall not good.
I turn this power-head off at night and every morning when I go to turn it back on I have to take it apart to clear the motor. Any little particles that settle in it cause the blades to clog.

Works as advertised
GPH could be closer to advertised but not bad. The pump has a noticeable vibration to it.

Great Small Powerhead
These are great for FW or nano SW tanks and they are so small you can hide them pretty easy.

Small footprint, smooth performance, good water-mover
A great powerhead, however please note the magnet won't hold at a 1/2". I am pushing the mechanics on this model as it is on a timer, albeit it cycles only once a day. A slight audible click can be heard upon start, otherwise completely silent.
