Dickies Girls' Faux Wrap Skort

I give this short 4 stars because it seems well made and the design is very close to what I was looking for. We haven't washed it or wore it yet but I have tried it on my daughter a hand full of times and I am pleased with it.With that being said, the sizing is way off. I knew this might be the case because of other reviews but I took a risk just so I could get an idea of the quality and fit. I don't know if it is because the non-adjustable elastic waist or what but my daughter normally wears a size 5 so I ordered a size 5 and it is way to big. I can pull it way above her waist and still have room left at the waist. Again I knew this might be the case from reading other reviews but I had to see for myself.Since I was happy with the skort I ordered a Size 4 to compare and I just received it and it fit my daughter perfectly! So I would say order a size down from what your child usually wears and you will do just fine.I still stand by my 4 star rating though because we haven't washed the skort yet or used it so I can't attest for its sturdiness. But it looks like it will hold up. I have used dickey products in the past and if this is made the same as adult clothing I think it will last me the whole school year at least.

This skort is made of quality material I have come to expect from Dickies. It feels durable, washes nicely and the wrinkles fall easily after drying. It has elastic in the back and no clasps or zippers which is great for younger kids or those in potty training. However, it runs very big. I ordered down two sizes and still had to sew it in a little. The color is is not quite the standard school uniform khaki -It is slightly darker with a slight olive tint. However, it is not too noticable.

This is essentially the same review I am writing for all three of these I purchased at the same time. My grand daughter is growing up and needed to wear skorts instead of shorts (her choice), so I decided to buy her a selection of them I found online. All of these skorts were of a good quality and the sizing was just about right on for her. We had to make a few adjustments because of her specific body shape, but overall, the sizing is accurate and the price was right. Some local places want so much more for these since they know you are buying them for school uniforms. With super saver shipping and no tax, I feel I saved a considerable amount of money on these skorts.

I'm only giving one star because I did not receive a skort as described and pictured. I received dickies shorts that were the same size as I had ordered. I couldn't bother returning them as I needed them for the first week of school for my daughter. I've never had this happen with Amazon before, but it's very disappointing that I wasn't given what I paid for and even more disappointing that I was in a tight spot and couldn't waste time correcting the error. The shorts fit so its fine...just not what we wanted.

Cheaper than at the uniform store, but same quality. It's thick material and will hold up well over time/washing. I didn't give it five stars because my daughter complained about the fabric rubbing against her legs and leaving a sore spot. She's stopped complaining. Not sure if it "softened" up in the wash or if she's just gotten used to it.These are the last size that have the elastic in the band. The next size up has a zipper on the side and no elastic/give.

Wrinkles up easier than others, and is more snug and shorter than expected. The school requires shirts to be to the knees, so can't really wear it there. I like that there are shorts beneath.

Runs big around waist. Had to size down 1.5 sizes. Good quality fabric and doesnt wrinkle.

Loved the skirt and the construction of the item - however, the waist was HUGE! My 13 year old wears a size 12 in girls pants and skirts and this was beyond big on her. And, unfortunately, there aren't any adjusters to help with the waist sizing. Some what disappointing as this would have made a great skort for her.
