When my wife and I saw this Halloween kit pop up on VINE, we agreed to give it a road test and write a review and we are doing that right away, rather than waiting for the Halloween season (which we typically assume starts October 1) so that we might give other customers a bit of help in deciding whether to buy this kit.First of all, we're Halloween decoration veterans, like millions of American families. Usually, we focus on carved pumpkins, lights and inflatable displays. We decided to add webs and spiders because our granddaughter absolutely loves bugs.There are basically two kinds of web kits you can get: One consists of a series of interlaced white cords, sometimes with webbing attached to the main cords. You unroll or unfold this pre-fab "web," hook it up somewhere and you've got a big web. The other kind of kit is some variation on this gauzy polyester mesh that you pull and stretch into whatever shape or space you have available. We prefer this second kind. Frankly, it looks more like a big thatch of cobwebs to us.The product arrives in a clear plastic bag with the polyester webs in a compressed square. Then, you have the fun of pulling it in various directions to cover, perhaps, a big outdoor shrub or a corner of a room in your home. Then, there is a second bag of spiders you can sort of "tangle" in the web to make them stay where you want them to "stick." My wife and I gave it a test, so we're sure it works, but we look forward to October 1, when we'll really pull this web to its full extent with our little granddaughter helping us to drape shrubs in front of her house.I uploaded a photo of one spider to give a better sense of the scale. My wife and I think that a couple of the photos on the Amazon product page may be a little confusing, because they don't have much scale to them and may make customers think these spiders are huge. Nope. They're the basic, little plastic spiders we've all seen in countless Halloween decoration kits.Still, there's a lot of fun in this little package. We're very happy with it.

Paired with a few other Halloween items, the spider web really looks like a real one. It is wonderfully easy to pull apart, hang over it everywhere, and what is nice can be removed again without any problems. The spiders are of course also included in the scope of delivery and so the whole thing makes a round impression.

When unpacking, the first thing you hold in your hand is a large, soft lump that feels like a cloud. Little by little the spiders fall out which scared me because they look real and by simply pulling them apart, the web becomes larger and can be easily spread. A real eye-catcher!

As described, the spider web is very large. I'm excited about the spiders! So many! Especially the little ones look really real and they can be attached to the spider web. Happy Halloween!
