I'm a school counselor and I use these in my office to contain my therapy dog. He's a golden retriever, so a pretty big boy, and they work to keep him inside the office suite while still having the main doors open to the hallway. He's not a jumper (wouldn't be a great therapy dog if he was!) and he's a little bit afraid of them (haha) so they do a great job of providing a boundary. Kids can climb over them or move one side like a little door to open them and come in. The gates came fully assembled and I ordered the gray. It's a lovely calming color and goes great with our decor. On days that he stays home, I just lean the gates against the wall. They are a great, non permanent option and get the job done. I wouldn't recommend these for jumpers or dogs that would push them out of the way.

The description said for indoor/outdoor use. I got them to block an open egress on my patio deck so my five pounder (dog) couldn’t escape to explore the world. Freestanding—yes. But after being out in the elements this summer, I will probably have to repaint this spring. When we were having a long rain event I covered with some plastic. Also, as it is freestanding, any winds or gusts of 25mph or more blew it over and off my deck. I now anchor it to prevent damage. Actually ended up buying a smaller gate for strictly using inside house.

The gate is very sturdy, attractive and easy to manuever. No assembly needed, except for stick-on rubber pads to prevent scuffing the floor. It work so well that I bought a 2nd one, but it was missing the pads. I reached out to the company thru Amazon and they mailed me a new set right away. Thanks guys!

My 3 month old puppy schnoodle @sdschnoodle on insta is kept totally safe and my living room is safe too! I can move them easily as they are not heavy, but they are decently sturdy if bent correctly. Not too tall and I can step over them easily if needed. Great short term solution!

My 95 lb.dog had surgery and needed not to go down the stairs. This worked perfectly !

my sister ordered the same item and she received with the gate the little safety pads to glue on the bottom of the gate so it wouldn't scratch the floor. i did not received that. that is something that is needed when using this gate.

This is ver maneuverable and each end can act like a gate is you have hands!
