desertcart.com: ORIBE Fragrance Discovery Set, 3 ct. : Beauty & Personal Care Review: Yay - Great way to test complete fragrance line and they all smell good Review: Awesome - Good fragrance. Not too long lasting, it will last around 2 to 3 hours. I personally like its “valley of flowers” and “Desertland”. But I don’t like its “côte d’Azur” fragrance.

Cookie cutter but decent.
First i love the oribe shampoo. The scent is very nice & the shampoo is luxurious. Its stood the test of time. I wont wear oribe perfumes permenently. I like my perfume to be more earthy & interesting. This is a perfect mid range department store variety. For example if you like Light Blue by Dulce & Gabbana you'll like Côte d'Azure. Similar citrus but softer & dies down much more quickly. Makes me think chain store too like Abercrombie & Fitch. Valley of flowers holds more interest. I definitely smell violet which is a floral favorite for me. This one is also reminiscent of an old department store variety Red Door I think mixed with Beautiful or something. I also smell tuberose or rose. Definitely floral. Desertland has soft sandalwood thing happening (at first) then it's something by coty for $9.00 at Walgreens. Think Ciara or baby soft. OH boy. Maybe I'll try to layer them. These fragrances are built to trend in the 90s when Oribe was THE stylist for supermodels. (A gorgeous era) but fragrance has come a long way since then. I feel so mean.

Smells like shampoo
These Oribe perfumes all smell exactly as you think they would: like super-expensive shampoo. They all fit their scent descriptions very well (no surprises here), and are appropriate for any occasion, but they just have that slightly chemical, shampoo-like finish. I don’t really consider them fine fragrance for that reason. They’re available as body washes and I think that would be the best use of these scents, especially for Valley of Flowers (which is generic but pretty and VERY floral but not old-fashioned) and Desertland (which is slightly green and very dry - it’s not a lush green, it’s more herbal. Much more interesting than the floral and unisex but it won’t appeal to everyone). That said, the original Cotê d’Azur is the best of these. It’s a genius scent that smells good on anyone at any time, and deserves its fame. I can recommend this in any form: perfume, body care product, or a home fragrance.

Yes!
Bought this for the cote de azure and ended up loving the other events. These are true "sample" sizes. Very small. The flower one and cote de azure make for a great layering scent..

Beautiful Scents
I first discovered this fragrance along with the other two Oribe fragrances, CÔTE D’AZUR and Desertland, at my hair salon. The first thing I noticed was the beautiful bottles. Each of these fragrances smell amazing, but Valley of Flowers is my favorite. After smelling these at the salon, I immediately went online to see if I could find samples so I could test the wearability. I just can’t get enough. Valley of Flowers is a fresh floral with a soft musk that is very feminine. The peony comes through the most, over the rose and Jasmine, and the dry down delivers a soft and beautiful musk, like céder wood. There is something familiar about This fragrance, and I think it honestly just smells like spring. I used one spray, and I can still smell it hours later. This will absolutely become my new signature fragrance!

Terrible Smell
I was so excited to try these as I absolutely love the smell of their hair products. I was so disappointed with the smell of all three, I find it hard to believe so many people have written such positive reviews for them.

All three of these fragrances are incredible. Desertland and Cote D'Azur are very similar. The third is very floral. All are lovely and wear very nicely. Very pleased with this purchase.

Desertland - I absolutely loved this scent. Warm and dusky. But to me it is 100% a masculine, cologne-type scent. I gave it to my bf. Cote D'Azur - To me this is like Dolce and Gabbana's Light Blue, but better. It's very, very lemon-y but also with a bite. I really liked it, but it is just not the scent for me. Valley of Flowers - It's the most floral bomb I've experienced in my life lol. It's a bit too mature of a scent for me...more like something my mom would wear.
