My Dog almost died from this toy - beware
BE AWARE - Within a matter of hours my 30 pound spaniel dog ate 75% of the rope on this toy and ingested it. Luckily she passed it in 4 pieces - within 36 hours (with the advice /help of an emergency vet call) Although from looks , this toy appears completely durable it is not durable at all and should be taken off the market as it could kill any dog that swallowed it.

If this is medium, how huge is large?!
I got this for my puppy who is under ten pounds. I had bought the x-small a couple of times, but she chews through the rope very quickly. So, this being the only other size to order available, I thought it would last longer. I thought it’d be bigger (obviously), but not THIS big!! I took a pic next to a water bottle for comparison. It’s so big and heavy, my puppy can barely carry it in her mouth. She does like chewing on the rope and it is MUCH thicker. I guess that’s good. I can’t imagine how big a large or x-large would be if they make them. This seems perfect for a golden retriever, lab or dog of that size. It IS very sturdy and figure can use the bone to stuff streaks in when she finally chews through the rope.

WRONG SIZE listed in description
The description copied from this very page says "Medium: Made for medium dogs size 15-35 lbs / 2-16 kg (Power Chewers: Increase one or two sizes or try KONG Extreme)."This is not "Medium". It is however extra small, as it says in another place. I have no use for an extra small doggy toy. Total waste of money.

Helps with teething and playing
I bought this for my newly adopted 13 week old pup. When we're not playing tug and pull, her tiny teeth are knawing on my hands. It is extremely funny watching her try and take it away from me by shaking her head and sometimes crouching and pulling. This toy should last her throughout her life.

nice but not very durable
my dog loved this toy, but she got he knots undone really fast. she played with the pieces separately for a while, but she ripped the rope part apart pretty fast, and then she really loved to just chew on the bone part, but after a few weeks it started breaking off in chunks. if you have a dog who is a power chewer like my great dane puppy maybe get the bigger one or just watch them closely.

Her favorite toy
My Cairn terrier mix loves these rope toys! They’ve been her favorite since she was a puppy. It’s perfect for playing and for her to take her frustrations out on the rope knots. This is her second Kong rope, we still have the first one but it’s a bit tattered after 2&1/2 years so I replaced It with this red and white and she couldn’t be happier!

I made 3 toys from it
My puppy loved it once I cut the rope in half, knotted the end on each segment, and gave him the bone by itself. He loves, loves the bone, especially when I stuff his food nuggets into the ends. He's 5 lbs of Chihuahua madness, so he loves to chase the 2 rope segments too.

The small is TINY
This is specifically for the small one. This thing is tiny! From the pictures I figured it'd be perfect for my beagle but it's so small that she ripped it to shreds in a minute. Also, her teeth would end up getting stuck in the rubber holes where the rope goes through. Kong typically makes good stuff but only order a small if your dog is under 10 lbs.

Now it’s the “Go To” toy
Great for tugging games with a growing Golden Retriever. It’s now her “Go To” toy .....Sturdy, except for the cloth/fibre rope, will replace with a more resilient nylon rope. This should dry faster when covered in doggie saliva , hahahaha.

Don't bother with the rope!
Wouldn't bother buying this toy with the rope on, would just rather buy the bone. My dog literally destroyed the rope in seconds we had to untie it and chuck it. He still uses the treat bone without the rope but dissapointed that it was so easy to destroy.

My Dog Loves These
My mature pug does not like hard toys and finds a ball difficult to hold in his flat jaw, but he loves chasing and playing tug with these, They are very strong and would last for ages, if only I wouldn't keep losing them!!!!

Really great for small dogs
My jug isn’t teething but he really enjoys this bone on rope because it’s small enough to fit in his mouth. Minus points because the knots have come undone during tug of war a couple of times

one bad point would be with the rope
Practically indestructible, I have a lab puppy and she chews through everything with the exception of the kong toys I have purchased, one bad point would be with the rope, dog managed to chew the rope out and chewed the rope to pieces (choking hazard) can be easily removed though, great for puppies with itchy teeth, hope this review helps
