Tilda Tries Again: A Big Bright Feelings Book

I like the idea of this book but I’ve lost the will to live after my four year old asked me about one hundred times why everything is upside down or in the ceiling etc etc. The idea that things are topsy turvey in her world and nothing is quite right is visualised by everything being literally upside down. It is very hard to explain to a four year old that the items aren’t really upside down but that it is meant to symbolise how she feels. Probably more suitable for older children

I preordered this on the strength of the other books but it didn’t have the same impact for me.

Such a great book. My reception class loved it.

All of the books in the Big Bright Feelings series are amazing. Excellent word choice, simple explanations of complex feelings, and engaging illustrations and colour palette. The. Best.Note: if you are buying books to give as gifts, keep in mind that sometimes they arrive with damage.
