Good product
The price is right and the quality is more than I had expected it to be. I would recommend this as an inexpensive yet reliable hood pin set.

Can't beat the price, but beating the quality isn't hard.
These were my go-to hood pins until I finally bit the bullet and bought some awesome Sparco hood pins with the retaining plate. The problem with the Spectre hood pins is that the little cross pin is weak and prone to rattling out. The cross pins almost always bend or shear if the race car is in an accident. Once a cross pin bends even a little bit, the retaining ring doesn't do its job anymore and it is only a matter of time before it rattles out on the track. These pins are so cheap, I just bought more for along time and lived with it, but eventually I ended up going through something like 10 sets of these suckers over 6 years of racing. I still have lots of the actual hood pins and the little plates left, but once I got below 4 cross pins, I decided to look for another solution. I do still have a couple of sets of these pins in my spares, just in case the fancy Sparco set ever gets damaged!

Cheap, junky and will cost more in the long run! Avoid at all costs!
These things are awful. After maybe 3-4 uses one of my pins broke. I contacted amazon and received replacement in a few days. Put new clips on and went for a 15-20 min drive...arrive to work and notice that one of the pins are missing! Imagine if both would have went and my hood would have went flying. Would not trust these for a 1 mile drive. Luckily when the pin fell off it did not seem to ruin my 2 week old paint job on my Camaro!! Please take my advice and stick to the "safety pin" style pins. A bit bigger but they go on tight, nothing can shake loose and seem to do a pretty good job.

These Torsion pins are poor quality
The pins and bolts work well. I like metal plates because it protects the hood, but they are very thin and scratch easily. The pins are where it looses the stars. The torsion part does not really close, it keeps popping out of the holes. I would recommend the cotter pin style hood pins (I replaced the Torsion pins with them and like it a lot better).

Great low cost hood pin set.
For the price, these are great. The bolts were almost too short, though. I could have probably used a different mount location if needed. In hindsight, the pin keeper cables should have been part of my order. I didn't use the screws to mount the circular plate to the hood. I used pop rivets instead because I think they are more secure and look better. I also sprayed primer wherever bare metal was exposed, as this is necessary to help prevent unsightly rust. All in all, these are an inexpensive solution to ensuring a secure hood.

Hood Pin
It's a hood pin, same quality as autoparts stores for a fraction of the price, will buy it any day of the week....
