I bought this for a beginner sewer. It has a lot of good information in it so I may keep it myself and buy another one for a gift for my friend.

This book is great for.an overview. I read through it first before.picking specific instruction for the variety of stitches. I recommend the same to other readers. This book will.be helpful to have on hand when specific project instructions expect stitching skills already in place.

Interesting info about the parts of the machine. Disappointing that there is virtually no information on hemming.

At 81, I purchased a new sewing machine & I haven't sewn for 50 years, so I needed all the help I could ever find. Very happy with this book.

I think this is a good review or instruction manual. I wish it spoke more to the trouble shooting aspect of things. Like why is my bobbin thread bunching up all the time?
