Soooo comfortable and warm. I have circulation issues in my feet so trying to keep them warm in cold weather is a real problem. These socks have made such a difference in managing this problem. They are thick, cushioned, and fit well. They don’t stretch out of shape while wearing and eventually slide down my leg so I don’t have to keep pulling them back up. You don’t need to spend a ton of money on other brands because these offer great quality for a reasonable price. Will buy another pair before winter sets in.

My elderly father has been looking for a heavy duty sock for a long time. Too often not thick enough, not long enough (he prefers over the knee) or too tight thru the calf. This sock is everything he's wanted. SUPER warm. High, definitely passed his knee but despite the warmth and length, sit nicely on his leg without being too tight or painful. My whole life he's been notoriously picky with everything he gets. After one wearing on a cold night, already wants two more pair. Highly recommend!!!

I purchased after reading through a lot of reviews saying they were great. I have beefy legs and was concerned about some reviews saying they may not go over bigger calves. These fit great, feel comfy, full cushion not too thick on the foot, and most of all toasty. I've bought other manufacturers merino wool socks for cold weather hiking that are twice as expensive. These are priced right. After wearing for a few hours inside- Feet aren't sweating, legs aren't super itchy which would be a big concern if they did. Unsure of how they'll hold up in the elements/ wear and tear until a Backcountry trip in late January.Even without outdoors use, they'll be perfect for a lazy winter weekend at home. I'll likely buy some shorter styles for all weather use.

I work in streams and wetlands and often wear hip or chest waders for field work. I have tried several different approaches to what to wear under my waders. I've tried shorts and socks which leave my calfs exposed to rubbing. I've tried stuffing pants down in them and that is sweaty and uncomfortable. I finally found socks tall and thick enough to work with waders. The wool thermo regulates and doesn't hold water like cotton does. I highly recommend Drake socks for working in waders. I wear a men's size 11 and the large size socks fit comfortably.

Unfortunately i didn't try them on before the return period expired. They are so tight, i cannot get them above the knee. 5 f 10, 180p. Be aware, if you order try them soon.
