I received this waterproof case for my Hero 5. It looks great and seems to be pretty sturdy. However I ended up buying the Original GoPro Super Suit because of wanting under water filters. Most of the filters sold on Amazon are for the GoPro Super Suit. Now, you can find a few that fit any hero 5 waterproof case, but it seems like a crap shoot. It's always good to have a back up housing just in case, so I will end up using this at some point. I would recommend buying this case if you don't mind using it without filters or using it with filters and just buying some that hopefully fit.

I bought this because i didn't want to chance having a defective waterproof GoPro. I did some online research and watched a couple of YouTube videos about this case and decided it was the way to go.It worked nicely. I do think that it affected the microphone though. Couldn't hear voices clearly at all, after watching some videos. I also had some really disappointing videos that were ruined because of water drops on the lens. Probably just unavoidable though.The case stayed dry and i actually kept it on all day at the beach. It offered really nice clarity through the lens. The button for the camera worked really well. It just stunk that i couldn't adjust anything on the camera screen with the case on. Not much you can do there though.Overall, good purchase. Worth it, especially with a reasonable price of $14. This Deyard case lived up to the research that i did versus other cases. I do recommend this product.

a way better case.....no having to take off your gopro camera lens to use a case for protection. search YT for my video about these cases.do not buy the gopro brand case, its total BS having to possibly loose or damage the camera's lens/ cover just to use a case. works perfectly!

I used this in Hawaii for the first time during a scuba trip. The case worked great. No leaks and the picture/video came out just as if the case wasn't even there. My only small complaint is that once you're under water, there's no functionality with the touch screen. It would have been nice to be able to change some settings, but I'll take the tradeoff based on the quality of the case and how my videos came out.

I was so excited to get this case and use my GoPro in the Philippines.We used it for scuba diving, as we went down the case held up until 21 meters. At this depth the button for record was pressed down by the pressure you could see the button go up and down with the depth. Due to this "defect" of the case the gopro wasn't able to record some of the beautiful memories.Maybe we'll just spend the extra money for an actual dive case next time.

Its is good for Gopro 7 and easy to install. No touch screen definitely but once placed you can access functions with right bottom and record or take pictures with top button. Price is really good and I recommend it as I heard some user having water leaked into their gopro. Good Case!

Purchased this for a trip to the Bahamas. Worked great protected my GoPro. I have the Hero 7 supposed to be waterproof anyway but this allows me to attach a floating handle. GoPro might be waterproof but it doesn’t float! Inexpensive and does what it says - I’m happy.

Worked perfect for Hero 5 in saltwater for snorkeling. This model does not allow access to touch screen while in case. Just set all your presets prior to putting it in. You can still cycle between video and photo modes underwater.

So I used this in Jamaica and Haiti last year in the sea, waterfall and river rafting! It protected my GO PRO and the footage was clear it did not fog up or anything like that and although I did not knock it, if i did this would protect against KNocks.YES GO PRO IS WATERPROOF but its better safe than sorry!PS You can hear sound through it somehow? Not sure how but I heard us speak soooo if that helps?

This case is great for going deep. I have already used at the lake and its brilliant.Not sure why touch screen is listed above as it does not have a soft back (they do not work as deep and fail at low depth levels so i specifically bought one with a solid back..Value for Money and brilliant design with room for the camera over being cramped into the case.

This case worked perfectly on my Hero 5 Black. As a snorkeller and surface diver I have found that waterproof cameras benefit from extra protection. The Hero5 is waterproof by itself but to be sure I bought this case. The case does exactly what it is supposed to, it works like the integral case of older Hero cameras. It may not be quite as robust but it still does the job. Obviously you can't use the touch screen on the back of the camera but in water I wouldn't use that option anyway. Just set the camera up beforehand and go. The video and stills are excellent.

So far I'm happy with my purchase, I haven't really used it that much, nor have I used it under water, but as far as the quality seems very good it's a big nice case and I recommend, I'm happy with the prodcut so far.

We have used this case multiple times mainly in the pools or water parks with a hero 5 and I have no complaints whatsoever. It is waterproof and we have had no leaks, it also feels like a good quality item.
