Good quality, love not having to first drill and then change to a tap. Worked perfect.

I've used this for plug boxes, ceiling speaker (square) fire alarm boxes, and made my own holes on metal boxes for years and the product still holds its own. Using drilling oil will help make the tap last longer too! Just remember to take care of it by using the reverse screwing setting on the drill to remove, and to not pull it out from the punched/drilled hole.

If you don't know about Tap Bits, Drill Taps, whichever you choose to call them...they are a huge time saver. By name implied, they drill, the tap the hole to the thread size. Drill at a medium speed, medium light pressure. Once it moves down to the tap, go slow. Do not go all the way through, only 1/2 way. There's no need to chance cross threading after passing the tap area. Stop, reverse out slow, but not at a crawl, boom done. I use a deburing tool for any tidbits fragments. This one was great. Quick to drill, and easy tapping. I would definitely buy again in #6. I already own, and DW from #8 - 3/8. These bits are a fabricators wish come true. These are not made for hard metals, or anything past 1/8" steel, and 1/4" aluminum. Use lube on deeper taps for sure. Trust me, you'll love them. PS, if you break these off in your project, your pretty ....outta luck. The bits are hardened steel alloy, and makes removal almost impossible.

I got this to replace a bit in my drill/tap kit that I broke. These bits are awesome I don't know how I worked without them before!
