Lionel Ready-to-Play Straight Track Pack, 6-1/4”, 12 pieces, Black

We have purchased multiple sets of this Lionel track in straight as well as curved, over the years. We use 2 train sets throughout the holidays. The track pieces click in tight and disconnect without breakage. Trains glide over smooth, without any lag at any speed. Tracks work well flat as well as on incline levels. Highly reccomend for replacing old tracks or for starting new, giving your train more area to run.

Ater purchasing several Lionel's Ready to play train sets, I suddenly became interested in expanding my Ready to Play trains outdoors. I was able to find additional Ready to Play straight track on Amazon. After purchasing 14 boxes of straight track, I was able to come up with this double track railroad. The entire Railroad is approximately 116 feet long. The Ready to Play track is secured to the deck with screws. I was able to purchase 14 boxes of Ready to Play track for less than $150.00. That is extremely less than my Brass track which I use indoors for another operating train. The Lionel's Ready to Play track isn't compatible to other G scale track systems currently on the market today. The Ready to Play track isn't as strong as Brass track and this because it is engineered differently, but it is strong enough to support my weight if I stand on it. I weigh190 lbs. There are ways to make it stronger if needed be.

We needed extra straight pieces to finish an under-the-ceiling Lionel layout my husband built for our grandson’s room, and this track pack did exactly what we needed. The track works well and snaps together easily. Taking it apart requires a little more effort than putting it together, but nothing unreasonable - it still feels sturdy and secure once assembled.

This fits the G scale Lionel Christmas Tree Train. It's useful in expanding the layout into a larger oval. This will not work with other G scale trains - only the battery powered Christmas tree trains. The plastic can be a little bendy and needs some adjustment to lay flat.

Exact match for a train set already had. We needed extra pieces around the holidays. Arrived quickly and easy to add to the tracks we already had.

Could not find the straight pieces at any retail store and was glad that I could purchase same through Amazon. Our Grandsons are thrilled that we could extend the Polar Express tracks. The pieces are pricey but the smiles on the boys’ faces make it all worthwhile!!

Extra track allows me to set up the Lionel Hogwarts Express train set around the Christmas tree.

Perfect set to extend the play on my son’s Pokar Express Lionel set.
