Catskill Craftsmen Kitchen Cart in Natural Birch

This is truly an outstanding piece of furniture. The packaging was strong and came in 2 boxes. All the pieces arrived in good condition and all the hardware was included (no missing anything). The instructions were clear, and the assembly, while quite a bit of work, fit very well. The quality of the wood, and the strength of the finished product are outstanding. Catskill Craftsmen was easy to contact with questions before the purchase, and they take a great deal of pride in their work. It shows in this piece. In an age of sloppy workmanship and cheap furniture, their product stands out as an example of quality American CRAFTSMANSHIP. Well done.

Finally put it together. It had exactly all the hardware necessary. Needed some of our own tools such as Phillips and straight screw drivers, as well as we needed an offset screw driver. All good. No broken parts. Really is a sturdy and heavy piece of furniture. It will last us years! Needs a little oil finish to get started, seems like the wood is a little dry. Would be nice it it came with a small bottle of oil complimentary with the product, given how expensive the cart is.

I bought this as an accent piece to use for extra room when I have parties. This is a beautiful piece that is well built and wellWorth the money!

I bought this through a big box home improvement store that starts with Home and ends with Depot rather than Amazon because it was cheaper.Exactly what I was looking for - it's very impressive looking in the kitchen. Beautiful color and just says, "classy". Looks aside, it's very useful. The deep drawer has a ball bearing track so it's easy to open and close. The two shelves are a nice size for holding large bowls, pots/pans, etc. We normally don't have the drop leafs up but we'll put one or both up when we have a lot of dishes.It comes in two boxes and all of the pieces are packed very well. Most of the screws, etc. are in their own zip-lock bags that are well labeled. I laid all of the pieces out on the floor as shown in the installation instructions before I started and made sure I had the right amount of everything - I did.I read the reviews on this items before I purchased it and went into it knowing that assembly was going to be a chore and I wasn't disappointed. However, Catskill Craftsmen has excellent installation videos on their website (it'll take you to youtube). I just followed the guy on the video and paused so I could catch up with him. It took a few hours plus some breaks but everything went fine. My wife and I assembled this together and having an extra set of hands was helpful to hold things and lift it up at the end.

I HAD IT TWO WEEKS WHEN A LARGE CRACK APPEARED DOWN CENTER, IT WAS THIN, BUT AM AFRAID IT WILL GROWN, I OILED IT SO NOT SURE WHAT CAUSED THIS. iT WAS EXTREMELY DRY WHEN IT CAME, I USED A BOTTLE OF OIL ON IT. IT IS A BEAUTIFUL PIECE, BUT WHEN I LOOK AT IT MY EYE GOES RIGHT TO THE CRACK.
