This Thermometer is On the Dot Accurate
I decided to order this meat thermometer after recent failures with the old instant-read I had. I was way overcooking meat, chicken, etc. When this BREEKET Meat Thermometer arrived, I decided to test it out before I decided if I would keep it. Well, first of all I noticed that it was reading the room temperature--said exactly what our wall thermometer did. Then I brought some water to a boil and sure enough, the Breeket read 212 degrees F. So I felt confident about its accuracy. And I love that it sticks to my fridge so I don't have to rummage in a drawer for it. I haven't used the probe feature yet--maybe the next time I roast a turkey. I have total confidence that it will work great. In the meantime, I'm making nice juicy meats that aren't overdone and am amazed that for this price this little thermometer is accurate, handy and attractive. I have also used it to measure the temperature of milk when I make yogurt. I'm thinking of ordering one for each of my kids because they all like to cook. It would be great for when the guys use the grill.

Excellent Thermometer
I had my eye on a similar product offered at a Retail Culinary Store for over $100 when I stumbled across this Breeket 2in1 instant thermometer for a fraction of the price. I have to admit I was skeptical that a similar product could be offered for less than $13.00 and I have been very happy with my decision to give it a try. First off, I appreciate that the desired temperatures for Beef, Pork and Poultry are printed on the face of the this thermometer. Additionally it comes with a reference card that lists additional temperatures for things such as rare, medium and well done beef. This thermometer comes with an extension probe that can be used for dishes left to broil/bake in the oven allowing for constant temperature monitoring and the use of an easy to set alarm that flashes the back-light of the LCD readout screen. I would’ve liked an audible tone associated with the flashing light but it’s easy to get used to watching for the target temperature when using the alarm function. I’ve used my new thermometer in making so many dishes….everything from hot water for Tea, Meatloaf, Roasted Chicken, Baked Pork Tenderloin and London Broil. The temperature range of this thermometer would even make it useful in making Candy. This thermometer also has some features that weren’t available in the outrageously expensive retail model. I especially appreciate that it has a fairly strong magnet built into the body so it can be hung on the side of your refrigerator or grill while in use or for storage. Lastly, being me...I had to give myself some peace of mind with the assurance that the readings I was getting from this thermometer were accurate. On several occasions I compared the temperature with readings taken with a basic analog thermometer. Sure enough, there wasn’t any discrepancy between the analog and digital thermometers. If you’re considering adding this tool to your culinary toolbox you can’t go wrong. Bon Appetite!

Best meat thermometer I've used!
Having used cooking thermometers for over 47 years (I was in food service in the military for over 20 years and am now retired), I've had the opportunity to work with many types of cooking thermometers. Initially starting with just the basic probe thermometers with the dial on the top. Now, as technology has progressed, I've used many of the newer digital types. One thing I didn't like on the probe type with the dial on the top was that the dial protective cover had a tendency to melt, due to its being clear plastic. Then, with a couple of the newer digital type probe thermometers, they were difficult to wash, and after a period of time, water seeped into the thermometer, even being careful when washing them, and the battery or the digital components would get damaged and stop working.I came across the BREEKET 2 in 1 Instant Read Meat Thermometer and read the item description and the reviews before purchasing it (yeah, my latest digital thermometer went kaput!).Received the new thermometer, and inspected it. It appears to be just as described. As with any electronic device, per the warning not to soak it or immerse in water or placing in dishwasher, cleaning it is relatively easy. Just use a soapy dishcloth or sponge. It seems accurate, and my wife especially likes it as the temperature display is large, and she can view the temp reading easily. I haven't tried using the wire probe yet on either my Char-Broil grill, but I'm sure that it will work just fine!We don't do a lot of baking of roasts or such (well, Thanksgiving is coming and I may be tempted to try to use the wired probe in the turkey as it's baking), so we mainly just use it to check the doneness of chicken thighs and breasts, and when cooking turkey breasts in the oven. Also to check the temps when cooking hamburgers. The accuracy matches the meat color when double checking the inside cooking temp (like rare, medium, and well done for hamburgers and steaks, as an example.Since I haven't owned this for a long time, I can't vouch yet for its longevity, but it seems to be a very well made product. Plus, it's nice to have an extra battery included with the thermometer.I definitely trust using the BREEKET 2 in 1 Instant Read Meat Thermometer and look forward to its lasting a long time!

Easy To Use
This is a convenient meat thermometer... easy to use: poke it in and the temperature is displayed in a couple seconds; easy to read: large easily legible display; easy to clean: just wipe down the probe with your favorite cleaner and store it. easy to store: probe folds pocketknife-like into the side of the thermometer body. Just drop it in your pocket;Comes with a spare battery, magnetized back, and external corded probe for 'remote' use, say, through the oven door.It appears to be accurate although I haven't tested it. One thing I have noticed and find disconcerting is the displayed temperature tends to fluctuate hi to low during the reading process. Don't understand this, but haven't tried to pin down the circumstance that causes it. Overall, for the price and noted features above, it's a worthwhile investment.
