The hull slats are difficult to manipulate even after steaming. They then have to be held in place (good luck) until the glue dries enough to hold them in place. Needless to say very time consuming.

As you can see this model is difficult to assemble for a beginner. The directions are difficult to read and follow. You have to have some knowledge of boat building as parts need to be steamed in order to shape them into place. Also it takes time for glue to dry and to move on to the next step. You need clamps or i used large paper clamps to hold parts till they dried. The stern of the ship was difficult so I changed design and made my own parts out of the scraps and slopped the bottom of the rear of the ship. If you are up to a challenge try this model. if not go on the the next model.

The laser-cut parts are very precise. The dowels and plan sheets are straight and not warped. The instructions are very basic. You need to have some experience with ship modeling to get this thing put together. The box-cut canons need work to sand and shape. Might want to get some cast metal canons from Model Shipways or some place similar, if you really want the finished ship to look good. You'll need to study pictures of similar ships in order to string the rigging. For $12.86, you get your money's worth.

Many broken pieces due To bad packaging. Kit was shipped lose in plastic bag. Kit itself is ok beside NMs broken stuff. Do not purchase from SKAI shop.

Hard to install, till now still “half”

I knew I was taking a risk with the price, but I did not need something amazing, so we went for it. A lot of the pieces popped out well, but some were incredibly difficult. We struggled following the instructions, and then as I was popping one of the main pieces out, I'm not quite sure how it happened but a part of it stabbed halfway through one of my fingers holding the backside of the piece. To make matters worse, it also didn't even get the piece to pop completely out where it was supposed to, part of the back of a side tore off as well.

A challenge, but it turned out great. Sounds like a lot of these reviewers should move on to another hobby if they can’t handle models like these.

I have built many models of this type before and this one is terrible.The instructions are terrible and can’t be understood at all.I can’t send it back as l already started on it.I would like a refund as I can not finish assembling as it is really a very bad quality
