ThuleLock Cylinders for Car Racks

Pricey but necessary for peace of mind - especially considering the amount you spent on your Thule. Works perfectly on my Aeroblade Edge crossbars. No directions but it is pretty self explanatory. While not entirely thief-proof as a couple of good yanks could probably loosen and break the plastic covers, a major upgrade from the included plastic locks.

Replaced 20 year old cylinders after a key broke in one. Glad these were available.

First I bought the $14 ones. I returned those when I couldn't remove the key from the cylinder. Next I bought the $25 ones. I returned those because they won't lock in the rack.I bought these and they fit like a glove.

Have owned a Thule roof rack for years and always attached it to our Jeep's existing roof rack. However, we sold the jeep last summer and were disappointed to learn that our new car's roof rack did not come with the cross bars. We purchased the Thule cross bars, foot pack, and locks and loaded up our car for the Jersey shore. Worked like a charm. Installation was easy; the biggest issue was moving the feet in tandom to get everything even (the existing bars were curved to contour the car). In a nutshell: my husband didn't work too long at the installation and any complaining was minimal (if any) so, for us, that is a success story! Upon our return from vacation, I wondered if the locks were really necessary given how weighted down the Thule was with luggage; however, better safe than sorry and it was nice not having to worry about one more thing that could go wrong! Worth the money.

Used these to secure Thule racks. Easy install. Worked great, just pricey. If using this around salt water, spray silicone inside the locks.

Purchased a Thule T2 classic tray rack but no locking mechanisms. I purchased this set to have one key for the lock on both arms and the hitch. Install was literally 5 min max for all three. Highly recommend purchase to help in locking your bike up w matching key

It looks amazing on the vehicle, the edges of the bars line up perfectly with the edges of the roof.Anyway, the reason I am writing this review is last night there were a huge batch of storms to run across the Midwest. 60 mph winds up to 80 straight line winds. Trees knocked down, semis rolled over in the road (2). Absolutely crazy. And I was at highway speeds going south and the winds were directly out of the west my bike was so securely to the roof that when the winds picked up to shift the bike it pulled the wheel instead. When I got the bike down still in the storm all the bolts were tight, rack wasn't moved an inch, and the bike mount fit amazing. Couldn't be happier with any of the products and they made me a customer for life.

if you have a lockable roof rack and bike racks or kayak racks and locking strapsjust get a set of cylinders and have them open all on one key instead of having tosort throw four or five different keys.

Bought those for the Thule classic 2inch hitch rack. Sadly it didnt came with the rack(wich coast 600$ go figure why).The installation was straight forward and took 5 minutes. The locks work great To secure borh bikes, but i would definetively not leave 5000$ bike sitting over night in a parking lot because i'm not convinced that these would prevent thefts. It still do recommend them because they do make theft job a little more difficult
