Read this book and glance into the soul of a remarkable, wonderful and funny person. Thank you Miriam for giving us this book. No holds barred as you would expect from her. If you don't thoroughly enjoy it the problem is not the book......

I don't think i've read such a warm, humorous, captivating and self-effacing autobiography in a long time. I loved reading about Miriam's life, her human foibles and perceptions about the world and i was sad to get to the end. She doesn't care how she comes across, has bags of confidence and an avid interest in people and the world around her. She is not conceited, knows her limitations and doesn't let that stop her from progressing through life. Yes, it can be smutty but she does it with humour and panache.

Great read, especially if you are a fan. She shows a lot of her vulnerability as well as that iconic humour.

Iv laughed most of the way through this book. Thank you Miriam for your honesty and heartfelt stories. Loved it !!!!

It states that the book is hilarious but I think that is pushing it.What is rather ridiculous in the book is that she has decided that racism against Jews is rife based on the fact that when she meets people she says "I'm Miriam and I'm a Jew" and that so many people pull a funny face when she says it that they are clearly racist 🙄.If anyone went around introducing themselves as "I'm [insert name] and I'm [insert any characteristic]" they'd get funny looks as it's not what people tend to do.It's quite sad that she's deciding so many people as racist when people are simply perplexed as to why she's providing that information.

This book was interesting excellent and believable. And so exciting , maybe to many people!! But that's life ? I enjoyed every skilfully written word .

VERY well written and really well constructed. Particularly liked the last chapters when we really start to understand the great tragedy of the Middle East

This was for a gift

I enjoyed seeing Miriam Margolyes on the Graham Norton show, so I decided to read this book. It was everything I’d hoped for and more. Ms. Margolyes is not only a good actress, she is also a great teller of hilarious anecdotes from her past and present. I loved the fart story!

Miriam is a good entertainer and I had many laughs but her serious and sensitive side comes out as well, often in some comment or in between lines. That makes it a good read. Miriam is a passionate and compassionate woman and her energy radiates off the pages. Highly recommended.

As many people will know, this author is a very outspoken and down to earth lady. I found the book very amusing, well written, attention holding and very saucy. Some readers may find the language a bit too strong but, on the whole, 'This much is true' is a very entertaining read. Highly recommended.
