Tivoli AudioSPHERA Wireless Bluetooth Speaker (Black)

I had been listening to my Echo via my original Model One table radio while waiting for the Orb to arrive. The Orb is attractive in a quirky way. When it's in the stand it sort of looks like a prized collectors plate. When hanging on the wall it reminds me of an in-wall speaker that sticks out a little. I first listened with a cable directly from the aux output of my Echo. I placed it in its stand on a table and then higher up hanging on a wall. Bass response was of course enhanced on the wall but muddy. Treble is very attenuated resulting in vocals that are difficult to understand.. I did not try it in wireless mode because that shouldn't matter sound-wise.Then I hooked the Echo back to the Model One radio and was amazed at how much better it sounds than the Orb. The bass isn't as deep as the Orb but it's accurate. The treble is perfect for casual listening. The best quality is the life-like room filling non-fatiguing sound that the orb just doesn't have. No way is it a $249 sound. It's going back Monday morning.

These speakers have serious trouble staying linked and paired with each other. I bought these instead of new Sonos Play 1 to save money. Their sound quality is about what i expected for the price but the saving is not worth the constant headaches. I will be switching back to Sonos or another speaker with better connectivity.

Je suis bien déçu finalement de ce produit Tivoli. Il y a une étrange vibration à l’intérieur du boîtier lorsqu’il y a plus de base. Peut-être une pièce mal fixée? Tivoli devrait avoir la décence de me remplacer à ce prix...

pros: looks and sounds amazingcons: clunky set up, glitches often (speakers don't play when they should, audio lag between speakers) power cord is ugly and too short for wall mounting, required app is frustrating and limited in customization options
