Onkyo SKS-HT690 5.1-Channel Home Theater Speaker System

I really like the way these speakers sound. Have them hooked up to a onkyo tx-sr393 receiver in a dolby atmos 3.1.2 setup. Dialog is clear without distortion at high volume. In the ceiling speakers, i can hear the atmos effect of things flying by. It is exactly the sound i wanted from speakers of that size. I picked them up in the amazon warehouse deals for a great price ($193). It is definitely worth that. But i had some issues with the subwoofer. The auto on standby will not turn it on after sitting for long period of time. Like after turning my tv off when i go to sleep. Had to turn the db level on my av receiver to max for it to work. When it does work, it sounds alright. Has the strong thumping type bass. Not roaring like you would hear in a movie theatre. Another issue i had was glue burning smell when i first started using it. Opening it up showed to much glue on the electronics. Emitting a strong noticeable chemical smell when i was watching tv. It may have just been on my unit and not everyone elses but its something to keep in mind. Overall, i would recommend this surround sound system for the right price.
