Bbonlinedress Women Short 1950s Retro Vintage Cocktail Party Swing Dresses

My only complaint is that there are NO POCKETS!!! (I assumed as much when buying the dress based on the description.) But since I’m capable of adding my own and the side-seam placement will make this relatively easy, it was more important to me to pick a style and fabric I liked.The fit and flare style is perfect for a curvy figure and the white on black polka dot pattern is adorable. The fabric is truly cotton except for a little polyester in the bust lining. This fabric will probably wrinkle a little more easily but at least it will *breath* —very important if you’re going dancing!I’m usually a size 14 (L/XL) but I ordered the 3XL because my bust measurement was in-between sizes and the cotton fabric has NO stretch. There’s a little looseness and gaping but I think I’m happier with this than if I’d ordered the smaller size.This is probably most appropriate for casual occasions but I plan to wear it with heels to a semi-formal wedding where there will be dancing and I want to be able to move comfortably.

For reference on the picture, I'm 5'2 and about 145lbs, and this is a size large. You can see it doesn't fit great in the shoulders, but given I have large boobs (34G bra in this picture) and narrow shoulders, it's hard for dresses to fit me well there.The dress seems well put together, though the zipper's a bit cheap and isn't the greatest to use (snags a bit even when zipped without me in it). The cotton is a bit stiff and would obviously be very prone to wrinkling, I was careful about keeping it hung up.

I am 5’6” tall and weigh 185 pounds. I am a 38DD chest. I got an XL. I also have a gut….short torso, two large children and a few beers later did that to me! I’m always worried about looking pregnant in a dress, and this was perfect for me because it hid my tummy and flattered my chest. I highly suggest a petticoat to fluff it out. Very classic 1950’s look. I wore it to a semi formal Gala. Great quality, awesome fabric! I would highly recommend!! I’m 44 years old.

I normally wear an XL, but ordered a 2XL and it's still a bit tight. It should be okay once I wear a foundation garment. I love the color and style, already have a similar one, black with purple roses. It's hard to find an attractive green, most are dark and drab but this one is nice. The style is flattering on my XL 5"6' body.

Fits nice/as expected. Very flattering. Texture of the fabric isn't soft. Kind of like a graduation gown.

The best way I can describe the fabric is, it feels like a polyester uniform. Like, I could see this being a uniform for a 50s diner. Also, it wrinkles as soon as you look at it. That being said, it is pretty cute on. I'm 5'7", 170lbs, 32H and I ordered a M and an L based on reviews. Large is pictured. The medium was not up to my level of bustiness. If you pop the stitch on the bust, it works as a breastfeeding top too - but it doesn't look great after folding a cup down because of how much it wrinkles!

I liked this dress I love the vintage look. The only downside was the non stretchy material used and not tight for me at the waist.

The dress was lovely. I enjoyed the old vintage style look of it. However, I thought I would enjoy the color I picked in person more but that was not the case. The color was as advertised - it just didn’t flatter my skin tone personally

Ordered the recommended size only for it to be to big (win win) this was awhile ago for a wedding that got prosponed due to covid.Recently ordered the size down for it to be massively to small. Not even one dress size to small at least 2.The dress in itself is stunning and really flattering. Going to take in the bigger one so I can still wear it

I’m 5’7 and size 10.I got the size small, and it fits like a glove. So pretty! Nice breathable cotton, nice flattering design and I love the print! 🍋 I’ll def be ordering more
