I use them over my cloth placemats...very sturdy.

Hole for hanging! Not a placemat
These must actually be cutting boards. They have a hole punched through them at the center of the narrow side so one could hang them up. Not desirable for a placemat!

These are not placemats. They are chopping mats with a sticker placed on the package that says place mats. Wish I could give 0 stars.

Not placemats these were clear cutting sheets that had imprints from the wrapper left on them don't waste your money
