Hands Free Square is a game changer
I have been using the Dogtra 1900 for a year now and have upgraded to the new 1900s hands free model. My absolute favorite part of the unit is the hands free square. Like many German Shepards, Zeke, was a quick learner and was becoming collar smart. He knew when we were holding the remote he could be corrected and when it wasn't in our hands he could get away with not following a command. The hands free square has changed all of that because it blends in with my watch and he can't tell where the unit is. He now can only assume the correction is coming from my voice and it has been a game changer for training. In addition it has made our more active adventures easier. While running, biking, playing with toys and learning new tricks being able to have both hands avaiable makes a huge difference. Easily this unit is a 10/10, would recommend to everyone. Setting up the square was easy and you can change it between nick, continuous and page. Multiple squares can be programmed to one unit and I will be getting an additional square because my husband and I train him together and that way we both can have control. Each square set to a different setting and we can still have full control without having the unit in hand. Again, can't recommend the unit enough. 100% happy and excited about this !!!

Awesome Product!
Our English Bulldog, Squintz, is a a mellow, easy going boy who LOVES to play! Anything that rolls, bounces, or crunches is fair game. However, we gave a 1 and 2 year old as well, and we were having issues with Squintz eating the kids' toys, or trying to get a toy while the kids were holding it. We took him for training and the Dogtra 1900S was required before training began. Through training with the ecollar, it helped tremendously! The only downside was that we wouldn't always have the clicker with us, or we couldn't find where we'd put it in time to give the command right away. When I heard about a new hands-free plus version of the 1900S, I had to try it... and it did not disappoint! The hands-free wristband is perfect for us to always be able to correct Squintz immediately, without needing the clicker in hand. The range for the wristband is stated at 35 feet away from the clicker (I believe), and this seems to be accurate. I like that you can program the wristband for the nick/continuous or the vibration depending on what you use most. I also really like that you can have multiple wristbands so that multiple people have the ability to correct. We would run into issues where my husband or I would be in one room with Squintz, but the clicker was in another room, so we were shouting for the other to get the clicker. With multiple wristbands we both have the ability to correct him if need be. With the our old 1900S, Squintz realized that if we didn't have the clicker in hand, he didn't need to listen. However, with the hands-free mechanism, his listening skills have improved dramatically, because he knows he can be corrected even if he doesn't see the clicker. I would highly recommend this product! It has lived up to our expectations and has really helped to lower the stress level in our household!

Works!
This work better than expected for our puppy. We live in a large property and had to train her to stay close and not run after deer all the time. Paging her by. Just using the vibration setting has worked great. Battery life is very good too. Only need to charge it every four days or so.

Absolute necessity
My Belgian malinois has such high energy and a high prey drive that simple collars were not doing the job. Since it’s arrival he has become more obedient without even going above the pager mode. I’mStill waiting to see what he will do when I HAVE to go to that level

Get This!!!!!
I was on the fence about spending the money to get this ecollar but I'm telling you it is the best money I've spent in a long time. I have a GSD who is almost 9 months now but I bought this around the 7 month mark. We tried positive reinforcement training with him and I avoided an ecollar for awhile but he was getting to a point where unless you had a treat in your hand he would not listen and the biting was not getting any better. The best way I can describe it is he "had no chill". I got this collar and after a day of conditioning I saw a night and day difference.I watched a ton of videos on youtube about conditioning your dog so we did that for a few days just to let him get used to what the collar meant and how I was using it for communication. He typically responds on the 11-14 settings. I actually tried it on my hand and couldn't even feel it until 12. He is a completely different dog now, so obedient and responsive! I have been using it mostly in the yard where it's difficult to get his attention and honestly after a couple of weeks with the collar I rarely have to use it anymore. If you have a high energy and active dog don't hesitate to get this collar.... it will make your life so much easier and will give you a better relationship with your dog.

Works really well
Was able to correct my dogs behavioural problems immediately with the pager (vibration) such as barking, come when called, ”off” command. The shock feature was necessary to break up fights in dog park as he became very aggressive after being neutered. The only thing is it needs to be built to withstand accidental mishaps, similar to an Otterbox. In the winter you pretty much have to hang it around your neck to have it readily available for access, therefore more chance to accidentally get jammed in say, a truck tailgate?I know this isn’t the company’s fault, however it would help to be more durable. I will have to order just the transmitter itself which is hard to find.

Great product BUT…..
I bought this formy stubborn Australian Shepherd. It really improved our training and our relationship quickly. The only negative that I have is I’ve now had it for only 2 months, and the charger just stopped working. It’s going to cost $112 to replace (you have to buy the splitter and charger separately). Not impressed for the cost of the original purchase!
