I bought this to identify puppies in a litter. I had seen a friend do this in the past. What I didn't remember was she had her puppies dew claws removed. It does make a difference.

I got this rick rack to use for making greeting cards and paper gift bags, not for sewing, so my review doesn't address sewing. This is the first time in a very long time that I have purchased rickrack, and I was used to the product that was made 30 years ago, which was soft and pliable. This product is somewhat stiff and has sort of a hard surface, so it is nothing like the old-fashioned rick rack. I'm sure I can use it; I just don't like it as well as what I was used to. At least there is a big choice of color, and the colors are bright.

I originally gave this product 5 stars because it looked good. I tried to use it yesterday and the rick rack is all twisted up so it needed to be ironed before I could sew it onto the outfit I was working on. The rick rack started to melt on the bottom of my iron. So I'm not sure what I will do with it as it's too twisted up to use it without ironing it. I turned down the heat on the iron but the rest of the clothing is made from cotton material so it will be conflict for further pressing of the clothing.

This stuff is crap. It’s not a wide as “traditional” US rick rack. The way the wound it up made it curl and twist all around. I had already purchased a wonderful cardboard product to wrap my ribbon around, so trying to carefully wind it on those and hope this straightens out. It’s also made of something other than what our US rick rack is made of as well - has a weird feel to it - almost plastic like. And when I opened it up - not a pleasant smell to it. Hoping that “airs” out as well. A few of the colors don’t look natural and are awful, so just getting rid of those. I’m using this for mixed media so some of this will be ok for me if it straightens out, but I wouldn’t be able to use this in a sewing project. This was way overpriced for what it is!! Just go to a fabric store and buy a quality product.
