Walker's Hearing Protection Low Profile Passive Folding Muff. Protect It Or Lose It

Yo estoy en un taller donde hay un CNC justo abajo de mi oficina y se escucha ese ruido infernal cual si estuviese a mi lado, por eso compré esta cosa, para ver si podría hacer algo al respecto. El empaque dice que va reducir hasta 27 decibeles o al menos es lo que entendí, pero la verdad es que no es así, se escucha igual de fuerte el CNC, las conversaciones sí hay una reducción notable y también con otro ruido, pero realmente no hay una reducción taaaan pronunciada. Digo si los van a usar para exposiciones momentáneas, puede que les sirva, pero sí están en un taller o algo así y el ruido va a durar más de 10 minutos, no estoy seguro que les proteja tanto… Ah! Una cosa que odié completamente es el empaque. Es de esos empaque que tienes que destruirlo para poder sacar el producto… Yo sé que eso no es culpa de amazon, si no de la marca, pero igual amazon podría decirles a sus clientes que usen empaques más fáciles de abrir y más ecológicos.

I struggled about what rating to give these. They're cost effective, they do block out a lot of sound, but they're not comfortable to wear. I've worn them for probably 4 hours doing different things. When wearing safety glasses they become very uncomfortable quickly. Without safety glasses I can last a bit longer. They are just way too tight. They put too much pressure on my head. It's also worth noting that on the package it states the noise reduction is 21db, not 31 like it says here. All that said, I really just bought these for use in the shop when I'm grinding steel or using a saw. They work well for that which is why I gave 3 stars instead of 2. If I had purchased these with the intention of wearing them for more than 30 minutes at a time, I would have had to send them back.
