Lubegard 60902 Automatic Transmission Fluid Protectant, 10 oz

This stuff stopped a hard shift into reverse instantly! I added this product to my Acura RDX transmission after draining the proper amount of ATF first. Once I added the bottle I was back to the correct level of fluid in the transmission, and the hard shift into reverse has gone away and not come back. It has been about a month and over 1000 miles with no issues. Great stuff!

I'm normally not a person who uses additives but when it comes to transmissions the fluid is very important for the operation of the clutch packs and torque converter. I recently installed a torque converter in a 4L80E and threw a bottle of this in and after a thousand miles you can tell the difference. The shifts are smoother and then torque converter lockup works well that's also because of a new torque converter. Almost all of these oils are nothing but a friction modifier and it does seem to help the transmission clutch packs shift better. This transmission has about 150,000 miles on it. I tow a camper as well and other than that it seems to shift fine and smoother. If your transmission has problems like slipping or shifting issues this isn't going to fix it. If you have a working transmission this will help make it work smoother.

My 2011 Honda CR-V has an issue with torque converter shudder and occasionally shifts quite hard. Despite my best efforts changing the ATF every 3rd oil change (15,000 miles or so), it was getting worse with harsher than normal shifting and worse shuddering. I added 6 oz of this additive to the transmission after a fluid change and it did wonders with the shifting issues. Shifts far better now. It did help the shuddering some but it did not get rid of it, but I expected that since at this point the torque converter clutch is probably too far gone to save it. Good additive Ill be adding some every fluid change now to nurse the transmission along until I can afford to replace it.

Added it to a 138000 mile 2017 Ford F150. After fluid and filter change, I drove it about 100 miles. It was better but not where It should have been. Added this and now it shifts like new. Worth every penny and I will use it on my other vehicles

This is one of the few legit additives that actually works. I’ve got a 1993 Chevrolet K1500 Silverado with the original 4L60E. No rebuilds. It originally called for Dexron III, but I did a full flush and put in Dexron VI. That fluid is thinner, and afterward I noticed a slight flare shifting into overdrive. I used a hand pump through the dipstick tube to pull some fluid out, then added one bottle of Lubegard Red. Drove it around, and the OD flare disappeared. Dexron VI just doesn’t build as much pressure in an older, slightly worn 4L60E. Plus the friction modifiers are different. Too slippery for the old 3-4 clutch pack with 203k miles on it. Lubegard seemed to correct both issues. It helped restore pressure and improved clutch engagement. No snake oil here. This stuff fixed it.

this along with the "Lubeguards Dr Tranny Automatic Transmission Instant Shudder Fixx" sorted out the torque shudder my car has been suffering from over the past 2 years. superb product cannot recommend it highly enough.
