Super handy for prototyping
This thing works great, has great features, and makes bringing up stepper-driven protos a breeze

Good for low power stepper motor testing
Most stepper motor controller/drivers start at 9-12V but this module is excellent for those lower power 3.6V - 6V stepper motors. Really like how it goes down to around 4 pulses/sec which is really good for testing stepper motor wirings. Docking one star because mine did not come with those convenient connector wires and you cannot jump directly to a specific speed by using the 0-9 digits on the remote as the features list.

Had to reflow solder on the main chip
This thing was non functional when I received it, but I noticed I could coax some life out of it if I pressed down on the main chip with my thumb. Microscope confirmed poor solder joints. I reflowed the solder on this chip and now its working great.

Easy way to control small Stepper motor with remote.
Unit arrived on time and is very easy to operate with small stepper motors. I'm using a Nema 17 1.7amp bi-polar motor with the driver and it works as advertised. I'm only giving it four stars because the remote doesn't incorporate use of the power on/off button or any other button on the remote other the directional buttons that double as start/stop but NOT power off. This is minor but a power off feature would have been nice since the remote has the power off button. Another feature that would have been nice would be to tie into a larger driver and run larger motors with the remote. But, for small motors with low current, it works fine.

Remote control doesn’t work
The remote controller doesn’t work at all. You can see that it’s communicating with the board because the dot on the speed indicator blinks but it doesn’t make it do anything.

Works good ! The only problem you need to use your meter to figure out the wiring !
