Secret Love

I normally do not post reviews when so many other persons have expressed my opinion. However, in this case I am compelled to make an exception. Brenda Jackson amazes me. Once again she has managed to write another Madaris story, with compelling characters, a unique story line, totally in keeping with the other novels in the series, spine tingling romance and just enough tension (romantic and otherwise) to keep your interest in the story, but not so much that it detracts from the love story. All her books reflect this wonderful style. In this story we see an embittered middle-aged man (but no less glorious for it - after all he is a Madaris) who has decided, after one devastating experience, that love is not for him, choosing instead to live vicariously through his brothers and nephews. A Hollywood starlet, who epitomizes all he has grown to despise in women, comes and rocks his world.The depth of love displayed by Jake and Diamond is carefully developed and is obvious in every thought, action and deed. Makes you believe in real love.Another wonderful, poignant love story from Ms. Jackson. I wait with baited breath for Nick Chenault's story.

Read it. I try not to give lengthy reviews or give any of the story, however, I will say that this was another one of Brenda' s best. I loved it. The plot is beautiful, the story was beautiful, and of course you know the Maderis man, Jake, was beautiful. The kind of man any woman would want. I don't think there are any main male characters in any of Brenda' s books that we don't drool over. Lol. But that is the point right? Just read it. It does not disappoint.

I enjoyed reading this book again. It was even better the Second time around the story of Diamond and Jacob was even better the Second time around

In the summer of 2013 I bought my first Harlequin Desire novel and at the back of that book was one chapter of One Winters Night by Brenda Jackson. I downloaded the Book and since then read the series and many of her other books and I am completely hooked. I have now complete 8 in the Madaris series, this one was excellently written. This was love life no other a man with a 6ft 7in body that is is to die for.They were so many lovely scenes like the night they made love in his secret place, in the cabin for the first time and the best of all when he introduced to his family with her coming down the stairs on his brother Jonathan's arms. I am very happy that they are pregnant I'm sure we get the scoop in a further book happy Sterling and Colby (book 5) on the birth of their dauhgter and for Clayton and Syneda (book 4) who are pregnant lots of family stories in her books. I can go on forever. Get the Madaris series you will love reading them as I do. Happy Reading.

Love all her books. Love the Madaris saga. Read this series first in paperback. I am now collecting this series and her other books as ebooks. I love reading her books they are that good. Her Madaris saga is a excellent soap opera you can't wait for the next book.

I started reading the Maderis series out of order. It was great to see where it all began. If I had read this one first I would have wondered how all these people fit in. But already knowing their history it was good seeing how they all started and not wondering if they will have their own story.Jake Maderis is a strong, wonderful character. I can see why all his nephews speak so highley of their uncle Jake. This series by Brenda Jackson is great. I look forward to reading them all.

Interesting story that keeps you hooked until the end. Beautiful love story between Diamond and Jake. Unfortunately I read this story last having read most of the other stories. I knew about them both but had not read their stories yet.

Kindle Book had lots of editing errors making it difficult to read

I have given this four stars due to the spelling mistakes. It ruined my enjoyment of the book. The spelling mistakes made me skip large sections as I couldn't make sense of what was being said. Apart from the mistakes, this was another good book from Brenda Jackson.

I was disappointed as the book had not been edited. The speech marks and apostrophes appeared as random characters which made reading the book very difficult and frustrating.
