Meister Carbon Flex Groin Protector Cup for MMA, Boxing & Contact Sports

1st: This cup rides high - or at least higher than my body parts.2nd: This cup looks really obvious and obscene when wearing with compression shorts.3rd: Every time I got someone in an Arm Hold last night and put pressure on their elbow, this item pinched me with the bottom of the cup.I got this because it was suggested to go with the same  MMA Shorts  that I bought at the same time.I am sending it back. It may work great for boxing (i.e. standing upright), but it does not offer protection when laying on the ground (lots of that in jiu jitsu).

I bought this nut cup to go with my Meister compression shorts since they have a cup pocket and I assumed this cup must work well in them since they are the same brand. So far I am really impressed with it - I've used it during both standup and grappling and it stayed solidly tucked away.I'm 5'10, 170 and it fits me well. Seems like it would fit almost all grown men. I haven't taken any huge hits to the groin and I'm hoping I don't have to. With minor contact so far it has been great. I'll update if I take a real shocker and let you know how that goes. Fingers crossed.

I recently started taking karate again after a more than 2 decade break, and want to protect my goods I'm 54 years old, and purchased this cup to replace the one I used 25 years ago (which was a youth size). This one fits comfortably. I'm guessing I'm "average" size (5' 10", 190 lbs, and average sized package, though one teste is enlarged after hernia surgury a few years ago). The cup has no extra room inside, but the perimeter seems to contact my groin area just fine. Surprisingly, I am using the same jock strap from 25 years ago, which holds the cup nicely. In wearing a gi which has loose-fitting pants, I sometime wear form fitting sports shorts over the cup and strap and beneath my gi. No problems with mobility, and I usually forget I am wearing it. I clean it using hand soap and warm water.

K, well, it is functional. That being said, I wouldn't call myself an XL down there, I think I'm pretty average, not that I've done much comparing, but in my humble opinion things seem a little tight down there. Also without compression shorts the top air hole is a bit of a nuisance, for reasons I will leave to the readers imagination. A little more room, both for the axle and for the bearings would be appreciated. I only bought it because the fencing club requires it, so it won't be too much of an issue. As a rugby player, I can attest that wearing it in a contact sport involving running/skating would be hell tho, either make it bigger or get rid of the top hole

I love the look, feel, idea and thought of being seen and caught in public with a bit larger than normal bulge in public while wearing such tight faded 501s without any thoughts or issues about what others might see or think when possibly looking. Not obscenely obvious. Very nice fitting and comfortable and not knowing that I'm wearing anything underneath my jeans...

I'm not a small guy at 6'2" 225 but this cup has a massive profile and doesn't cover the most important parts. I use it for Krav Maga and I am constantly thinking about it and adjusting it as it rides up into my waist. Forget any ground work as it leave the boys exposed and digs into my abdomen. Making matters worse it has a huge profile so any women in the class look my way and think I have more than a pant tent going on.

The cup rides too high, in the Meister Rush Compression Shorts. It sticks out too much. The design of the cup tapers at the bottom, therefore failing to protect the testicles. There is no protection at all. Very poorly designed. I am very disappointed. The worst protector I have ever purchased.

Best of any cup I've used. The size and shape are just right to keep it in place, and the protection is outstanding for MMA/Combatives.If you're a bit bigger than average, you want one of these.

Bought this for a karate competition, however I didn't end up wearing it.Yes it would protect you but it isn't comfy to do so.To say it is meant to be for MMA I can't see anyone fighting very comfortably in this.It is a quality piece of gear but just doesn't seem to be any good for me.

Used for ice hockey. Pefect .. slim design for ease of movement but plenty of room inside. Previously used cricket cup but wasn't deep enough. This is perfect. I wear this between cheap jock and base layer.. just right. Seen these on ebay for double price .. so this is a bargain.

its very good at protection and durable but the ribber chafes and its not the best option in my opinion.

It's okay. I use it for MMA, the only thing I would say is that it does ride up when I'm grappling. So it can become quite uncomfortable. The rubber around the edges stops from any scratching but it does rub. Definitely saved me from a few fatal hits to the groin though!

Also too for BMX believe me been there.
