Chrome Garbage Disposal Air Switch Button NEW

I could not find an insinkerator switch, (caution they only sell the button or decorative top not the full switch), so I thought I would give this one a try.First it requires a slightly larger diameter hole than the insinkerator 1 3/8 in lieu of the 1 1/4 insinkerator.It comes with switch, steel ring, rubber gasket, and plastic nut.The last 3 items go under the sink in that order, you should use a thin layer of clear silicone caulk between the switch and countertop to prevent water seepage from above.It took 45 minutes to get the old insinkerator switch out and 15 minutes to install the new switch.I reused the insinkerator tubing and was unable to use the locknut for the air hose as supplied by geyser, but it does not seem necessary.Switch works great with insinkerator control unit and hopefully this one will hold up over time.Previous insinkerator switch lasted 9 years.

A bit wider diameter hole is needed in the countertop than the InSinkErator version, but it feels very well made.

Other than the hole opening, this was a drop in swap for the insinkerator one I replaced. The requirement for the hole opening on the product site is correct and, fortunately, the guy who installed our old unit left enough diameter for this item to fit exactly. I know someone said in the comments that the threaded tube fitting didn't work for them, but it worked fine for me with the original tubing. The whole replacement took me 10 mins -- and most of that was folding myself in half to get under my sink. The ring around the button sits about 1/8" above the counter so you should chalk around it for a good seal and for looks.

This air switch looks very similar to the Insinkerator and works perfectly. I had to swap my old one out for this one and it works flawlessly.
