What size screws will I need for the plain white 100mm version? Screws on previous one are thicker. Also, does the outside clip off for cleaning?

I was lucky as it was a replacement and I could use the old screws. They were about number 4 by 1/2 inch plated, or brass as there is moisture. The cover does clip off but it is a "good fit" and you would risk damageing it. It also becomes more brittle with age. Mine was in situ about 20 years and only realy needed replacing as the bathroom was refitted and it was a white suite so it showed up as needing renewing due to it becoming an off whiteshade.

Silly question, is the mesh screen optional or must they be fitted
