Review: Not the same as US Gaviscon. They actually do something! - Gaviscon Advance is from the UK and is an entirely different formulation from the US version. They contain alginate which forms a dam and doesn't let stomach acid come up the esophagus. These helped me to get my GERD under control and completely get off PPIs (Prilosec) which quit working for me anyhow. They do have a little bit of a chewy consistency but are not unpleasant and the mint taste is not bad. Highly recommend! I was missing two of the bottles of the advance. desertcart refunded the order but they shouldn’t have had to.

Medicine works, seller didn't include all bottles ordered
The seller only included 4 of the 6 bottles in the order. I was missing two of the bottles of the advance. Amazon refunded the order but they shouldn’t have had to.

Shortchanged
Right now I give this 1 star because only half the order was sent. If the rest of the order is sent then I’ll up the rating. If it’s not sent I’ll have more to say.

Disgusting!
These antacids do not chew well. They are gummy, sticky, and tend to make you more nauseous. I will be returning them. They need to be reformulated. I will continue to use the original Gaviscon chewable tablets. I do not recommend this to anyone.

Unlike US version, this actually has substantial alginate and is much more effective. The US version is really just expensive tums or rolaids
