Great replacement!
Our original 5 gallon water container water handle broke and this was a perfect replacement at a great price.

Used on Six Gallon Water Can
I used this to replace a broken spigot on my 6-gallon water can. The water can is one of those blue plastic, cubed types that came with a spigot, which was broken. Although this is a good replacement it will not fit inverted in the cap like the original. This means it cannot be carried inside the can like the old one. However, I am quite sure you could cut a bit off of the cutoff handle and a tad off the spout and it would work fine like that. I just have not taken the time to do it. The only issue I have had is with the threading. When screwed in snugly it is not properly aligned but is instead perpendicular to the desired position. This can likely be cured with some teflon tape.

Best Product for the Money
I purchased these for Zep 5 gallon plastic jerrycans. They work well when installed properly. And this is far more economical than paying 5-10 times the cost for a Zep pump. There are a number of similar product lines to Zep. And they all seem to use the same type can and cap. (1" Dia. Faucet thread) These faucets will leak if you do not install them properly and the faucet thread is ~1/4" short for Zep cans. I recommend the following... - Wrap the faucet thread with 4 layers of Teflon tape. - Take the cap off the can and drill a 3/8"-3/4" hole in the center of the disc of plastic you are supposed to cut out. - Use silicone sealant and apply a ~1/4" bead to the cap thread for the faucet. Start at the bottom of the thread and work your way up ~1/3 of the thread. - Thread the cap back onto the can and then thread the faucet on and align it so that the faucet points straight down. Mark the faucet and cap with a sharpie to note the correct alignment. - Remove the faucet and cap and apply more sealant if necessary. If the faucet has sealant in the thread barrel, then you have used to much sealant. Clean out the excess with a paper towel. - Reinstall the faucet in the cap with the marks aligned. Evaporation of may interfere with the curing process so leave the cap off the can overnight. - You can wrap the can opening with a piece of plastic and a rubber band or tape. This may seem like a lot of extra work just to install a faucet. But I have never had a leak using this procedure.

Surprisingly Superior!
I recently switched to the PowGrow Plastic Faucet Spigot for my fuel drum, and I'm honestly blown away by how much better it is compared to the old metal one I used to have. It's like discovering that the underdog has been the champion all along.First off, the durability is impressive. You might think plastic can't hold up, but this spigot has proven to be tough and resilient. It's like having a lightweight boxer that can take and give a heavyweight punch. The ease of use is another big plus. The lever operates smoothly, without any of the creaks and groans my metal faucet used to make. It's as if it's saying, "Don't worry, I got this," every time I use it.So if you're in the market for a drum faucet and are considering plastic over metal, the PowGrow Plastic Faucet Spigot is an excellent choice. It's a fantastic blend of durability, ease of use, and reliability. It's definitely a case of 'don't judge a book by its cover' – or in this case, 'a faucet by its material'. Highly recommended!

Slow leak around knob
I wanted to like this product because it was similar to the spigots that already came on our reliance water jugs, but when this was installed on a horizontal 55 gallon drum all it did was leak. The leak was around the turn knob and not at the connection so it is a failed design that doesn't have a tight tolerance during manufacturing.

Seem great!
I have several 7 gallon blue Reliance water containers and a few 5 gallon Coleman blue water containers and basically all the plastic spigots are either broken or leaking a lot, just about all of them so I ordered these hoping they could replace at least some of my faulty spigots and they do work great for the 7 gallon Reliance water carriers thankfully but not for the 5-gallon Coleman onesthough which is okay because at least I can replace some of my worn-out spigots that were leaking, broken and extremely hard to turn because of the hard water buildup I believe plus just being old, worn out and in the sun and these seem to be as good if not better than the originals honestly like another reviewer said even though most likely in time they will wear out and either break and or leak or be difficult to turn in time as well because everything wears outside sadly but at least for now these were the perfect replacement spigots for my 7 gallon Reliance water carriers because they might just be better than the originals and they're much more affordable to replace as well because if you replace your broken original spigots with more that are exactly the same you're paying nearly as much as you would for a brand-new container with the spigot with it so these were a much more affordable replacements and I'm glad I got them and wished I got them a long time ago but I wasn't sure that they would fit before and I didn't want to take the chance ordering them if they wouldn't fit or work for me but I'm glad I took the chance because they fit great, now I just need to find some cheap affordable good quality replacements for my 5-gallon Coleman carriers next.

works, but doesn't fit inside when not in use.
this is a non-factory replacement for my big blue water cube. it works fine... but when I'm done it will NOT reverse and go inside of the cube to protect the nozzle like the original, it just doesn't fit.so keep that in mind, when your big blue water cube is full the nozzle HAS TO BE outside of the cube where it might break in transit. which is why I had to replace mine int he first place.TL;dr - works fine, good control, will not fit inside for protection while moving, cheaper than original replacement
