I have been able to easily get 10 minutes out of a spin pretty much immediately. I do spin this on a concave makeup mirror or one of the many concave glass lenses that are available… Either one will work fine and allow your top to spin for 10 minutes. I have arthritis in both hands and was still able too achieve 10 minute spins with relative ease.I do like the way this top is designed the shaft on the top is Hollow and has cut outs in it so that most of the mass is in the top rather than the spindle that you spin it with it’s a very nicely engineered top especially for the money.I would purchase another one in a heartbeat just to have more than one color.

I thought about putting masking tape on my fingers. I thought at first it is going to make it harder to spin.Wrong! It actually made it easier for me to do a more controlled Spin.

I prefer a larger size top for spinning, and this does nicely. In fact, they could all be bigger in my opinion. Nice balance and a decent heft, but 10 minutes? I don't think so. On a glass track going downhill with a wind at its back, maybe. It has a hollow top section for your finger grasp and that makes it well suited for a size 20 star bit to insert. I used my power drill on high speed (1800rpm's) to really get it going on a glass plate. Over and over again, at least 20 times, and the very best I got turned out to be 9.34 minutes. Yes, pretty close to 10, but this is with the aid of a high-speed precision drill. Not anyone's fingers. So, unless you are a cybernetically enhanced hybrid human being, I don't believe it is possible to achieve the ever elusive 10.00 minutes. Like I said at the beginning, bigger! You need more mass to build up enough stored kinetic energy to keep it going, like a flywheel. Other than that, good looking and fun little toy!

I don't know whose fingers they use in those pictures, but they are a little deceptive. Use the pictures with actual measurements and pull out a ruler. Good top: I drove a coworker to tell me to take it home. There's something off-putting about the feel of the grip because of how "sharply" it is machined. It provides great grip, it just feels ... off.

This top spins for a long time… my personal time is 9 min. and 32 sec. Better than most in and also above this price range. I recommend buying the concave glass to spin it on bc it always brings it to the middle and increases spin time.

First spin 12 minutes. Second spin 15 minutes! This top is awesome and for the price you can’t beat it. I have others and they don’t even come close to the times I get from this one. Don’t waste your money on other brands, buy this one you will be happy

I understand that the description showed explained the size of these things, but every picture is extremely deceptive and misleading. DO NOT BUY unless you understand that these tops are tiny and not as shown in the pictures.

Awesome spinning top, the low price was making me suspicious that it might be some cheap top but after reading the reviews I decided to buy them, they fell solid, are easy to spin and you can't even tell they're spinning sometimes because they are so balanced!

...this spinning top has good weight, good balance and has an attractive knurled top section to allow you to spin the top between your fingers easily.my one complaint is that, because these are given as gifts quite often, it would've been nice if it came in a small cardboard box as well as the soft tie bag.

Awesome top! Amazing quality. It’s tiny though. Photos are not accurate.
