I had read the negative reviews, but ordered it anyway. I should have listened! Not only does it make your lips an odd light color, but it smells terrible. I can't stand to wear it long enough to tell you if it works or not. Do not recommend this product!

I forgot my lip sunscreen today and went outside for some basketball at lunchtime. I managed to find this at the health food store nearby. It provides SPF without the harmful chemicals that are in a majority of the lip sunscreens. My lips are super sensitive and will get all gross and swell up if I burn them. This stuff goes on easy. The "negatives" would be that it leaves a white/light color on your skin, but it's main ingredient is zinc oxide... what do you expect? It has a smell that some people may not enjoy, but the smell goes away and that's a good reminder to put some more back on. It by no means is an intolerable smell. It is a decent alternative to my normal lip sunscreen.

I used chemical laden SPF lip balms for many years to protect my lips from the Florida sun. I find it amazing that the ONLY place I have pre-skin cancer issues, is my lips!This product not only provides a convenient way to apply sun protection, it also contains moisturizers, and does not dry out my lips like regular zinc oxide. It does go on slightly white, but I expected as much from a zinc based product. The white can easily be lessened with a little rubbing with your finger. I will NEVER go back to chemical laden sun protection!
