Audien Hearing EV1 Rechargeable Hearing Amplifier to Aid and Assist Hearing, Rechargeable and Nearly Invisible

I do not have serious hearing volume loss, but even if I did I still think these would work. My problem was intelligibility of words due to high frequency loss. These do exactly what I needed- to put a sharper "edge" on the sound. No, the sound isn't "hi fi," but it is exactly what someone like me needs to be able to understand conversation. I'm sure a $5000 aid can do things this can't but personally I don't need more than this. Forget the silly negative reviews. If you have high frequency loss like I do, these will astound you. I do think aids like these will put a serious dent in the "professional's" business. They should have been available years ago!

Definitely amplifies volume.Of everything, including background noise.Difficult to fit and tune the "squeal" out of it.At best it sounds like a 1960's AM radio stuck in your brain.

They seem to work alright but they are really conspicuous as they stick out very far. I am using the very smallest ear bud supplied. They also have to plug directly into an outlet which takes up too much room on the power strip. I decided that they were not for me and they were returned. EDIT 10/14/21 I returned the product and was promptly refunded purchase price. A week later I received the nicest hand written apology from the vendor. I also received as a gift, a beautiful set of EV3 hearing aids. How is that for customer service?

High risk of overcharge and breakdown, cannot be repaired

Have not seen a decent hearing aid under $100 before. These are the best price I've seen on a good hearing aid with quality sound and instructional material et cetera, great work.

The devices are a little larger than expected. My wife has had no problem wearing them and I can notice a definite decrease in the volume of the television when she is watching. She says they are comfortable. She hears a slight sound like the ocean rolling when there is no other sounds but not bad.

These hearing aids have a tendency to scream everytime the jaw moves, they are very loud

I honestly can't believe it. I've gone years without getting hearing aids due to the high price. My family has mentioned it but I've always shied away, been afraid to admit I have hearing loss and have used the price as a way to avoid it. But luckily I saw an ad for Audien and gave them a try! For only $89 the EV1 was too tempting not too look into and wow. Comes with a cool box and all the accessories I need. They're easy to use and powerful right out of the box. I've noticed an immediate difference from using these and it cost my less than $100! Wish I found these years ago but I am definitely an Audien fan for life now!!
