Spooky stories
I like to read scary stories without alot of fluff. This book was fun of them as well as some very interesting history. I finished it in one night and lent it to a friend.

Very well written combo of facts and first hand experience. Highly recommend.
Fun to read. Author does a great job of thoroughly covering the history humanities and haunts. Ingenious way to divide a book. Even the history section was interesting and I am NOT a history buff.

Eloise history
Good history of a hospital and the people that lived there. I feel could have been more indepth of lives in hospital and state run home for poor.

Eloise
Much can be said about this complex. I myself explored it as a teen. My friends and I were lucky enough to have been through the entire N building. That having been said, the reason for the 3 star rating is most of the information in this book is just repeated from Stanislas Keeton's History of Eloise and Alvin C. Clark's book on Eloise in which he heavily quoted Keeton as well. The only new information is the haunts section, which I did find very interesting, and can also agree that the 4th floor was creepy! So was the basement. My friends and I convinced a worker to give us a small tour while the Kay Beard building was operating as a homeless outreach center.
