The cardboard is sturdy and the covers are easy to put together, as long as you don't put them together inside out; just follow the pre-bends. What one does when distracted... Anyway, they hold a lot of books and stack nicely.

Good, strong file boxes. Decided to rid ourselves of the inexpensive filing cabinets we've had for years. They were in poor condition and the stack of boxes is actually easier to handle and manage with some good labeling on the boxes. Good value and very sturdy. Both box and lid are super easy to assemble and require no tape. Recommended!

The cardboard of these boxes is sturdy. The boxes are easy to unfold and form a sturdy bottom. The lids are not difficult to fold but can be cumbersome to fold. With a lot of stuff in the boxes they can be difficult to get on, but they fit snugly and I prefer them to be that way. The dimensions are appropriate for a Bankers Box and the handles are sturdy, with cardboard tabs on the lids that slide into the handles to facilitate lifting. This can be an issue if you have things pressed up against the side of the box. Where you might be able to fit your hand in to lift the box, you might not be able to get the lid tab into the box which makes it difficult/impossible to lift the box with the lid on. They can stack with a light load and they even hold up to a medium heavy load, but the lid deforms and settles some. That's more than I expected. I'd expect the lid of the box to deform considerably over time with another heavy box stacked on top of it, but they look like they'd still hold up overall structurally.I think bankers boxes are overpriced for what they are but these were priced similarly to others at the time of purchase so I have no complaints. I couldn't find a way to get more of this quality for less.

Love the size, how sturdy these are & that they come with lids. Great for storing school records.

I use these boxes for everything. Storage, taxes, moving, and books. They are sturdy and perfect size for books so the box is not heavy.

These boxes are just the right size for many jobs and then fold easily back up to store away. I'm sure they are great for files also.

I've tried a whole bunch of Bankers Boxes knock-offs, and nothing beats the original. These are the most durable and can carry the most weight, and they are well worth the price. The box itself simply pops open and the cover requires very little effort to build. The cover has latches that "lock" the box shut, which is super handy when using these for moving. They can easily be stacked without damaging -- even when they are pretty packed with heavy items.
