So Cool
For a $30 phone/watch I am very impressed! My son has ADHD and this will be his first summer doing full day summer day camp - every day, I'm so nervous! So I decided to invest in a phone/watch for peace of mind. The one I really wanted to get costs about $130, but I know my son, and I don't want to pressure him too much with the responsibility. Anyway, this watch looks great, it's low-key, doesn't scream "hey I'm a fancy phone/watch!" and it feels durable. Set up is easy. The instructions are in a bit of broken english but the functions are nice and simple so it doesn't take much to figure out. I like that this watch is not a toy, there are no games to distract my child more than he already gets or to drain the battery. I purchased a 2G sim card on Amazon called "$5 Prepaid GSM Sim Card for GPS Tracking Devices Locators" $5 Prepaid GSM Sim Card for GPS Tracking Pet Senior Kid Child Car Smart Watch Devices Locators 30-Day Wireless Service and it works. I showed my son how to call me and that was that. The app that you use with it works for me. Once again, some of the english could be clearer, but it looks nice and works. The GPS arrow landed right on my house and it is easy to add numbers to the phone book and send messages to the watch from the app. You can call the watch from any phone using the number provided when you set up the sim card but the watch itself can only dial up to 10 numbers that you set from the app. The calls on the watch are also clear. For $30 if this device lasts through the summer I'll be more than happy. The one feature I thought it had was the ability to monitor/listen in without the watch ringing but either it doesn't do that or I don't know how to do it. If you're looking to test run a phone/watch for your child than I would recommend this. Just make sure you get the right type of sim card and you should be AOK.

Great Watch but 1 question!
Love the watch, especially the "listen in" feature.I would have paid double for it to be waterproof.Only problem is that the GPS is showing incorrectly. It shows the wrong area on the map when I know he is in a different area.Is there anyway to calibrate or improve the GPS location accuracy? Also, if you are technologically challenged, you are going to need someone's help with this. It just takes a small amount of effort and understanding. Commands are funny because the Chinese to English translation is not quite perfect. So you kind of have to play with the SE Tracker II and learn what each thing is. Overall, I would totally recommend this to anyone who is a helicopter Dad like me. Once you get it set up, it works better than I could have imagined (especially if I can get the GPS location to be more accurate).

If you don't mind military time and a lackluster app but enjoy not paying for a full priced phone plane this is for you
Read the product information before purchasing. Works with the setracker app. Which is not an American made app so you have to be willing to deal with an app not being made by someone who's native language is English, and then the watch operates in military time. For me these are not deal breakers. The watch does everything I expect it to. The app is sometimes spotty but I enjoy being able to keep track of my son while he plays in the neighborhood or goes off with friends.I used TMobile service and speedtalk both. I am currently using the speedtalk 5 dollars plan. It's just easier imo the TMobile service I found I had to refill it more often. Speedtalk website is um not super clear but if you manage to get someone on the phone it's very easy to set up also. Be patient and read or watch a video when setting up the watch and you will definitely get your money's worth. My son is 8 and knows how to call, and send me voice messages. He likes that it tracks his steps to.

It's better than nothing!!!!
This is the second one we received. The first one the screen stopped working but all the functions still worked. The seller replaced gave us a refund and we bought another one. My son loves this watch! I guess he feels like a big boy when he calls us on it.PROS: It's better than nothing. When he's outside playing with his friends, we can call him if we don't look out and see him right away.It also alerts us if the watch is taken off.If the school bus is running late, we used to log in to the school's website, search for the school, then look for the bus route number. Now we just call him on the watch. We found that using the Speedtalk Mobile sim card works really well.CONS: The GPS is off. But, we like the fact that we can call him and he can call us.It only uses 24 hour time. So we taught our 7 yr old how to convert the 24 hr time to the 12 hour time. At least now he knows how to use both times.Overall, pretty good watch.

Tested all known functionality and everything works great. That said
Don't normally write reviews but given my trepidation for this device after reading all of the negative reviews, felt it was necessary in order to put anyone else's mind at ease. Full disclosure, just received the speedtalk mobile sim card today and set up my son's watch today. Tested all known functionality and everything works great. That said, I read all about the issues with sim cards and simply went with the manufacturer's recommendation vs. the slew of other available sim cards. Calls come in crisp and texts are pretty quick. All in all, great product.will update my review should anything change.

Can receive phone calls, but nothing else. Can't use as a tracker.
I don't think there is a 2G cell network left in the US, so this product doesn't work as a tracker or even a watch. You cannot connect the watch to the cell phone app, so you can set any of the features/data on it.However, I did manage to get it to work as a phone. I bought a T-Mobile sim chip, and signed up for a plan. The watch rings, you can answer, and have a conversation.
