Strooong!
Really strong hold! I fixed my carpet for my rental after my dog tore it up. The double sided tape is very easy to use and kept the new carpet down perfectly.

This stuff sticks
Sticks down well. You have to cut quickly or else it starts sticking to scissors. I'm not a carpet pro, so I honestly don't know if scissors were the best tool anyways. Once you stick it down it is somewhat forgiving and flexible. But if you don't clean dust and debris from area it doesn't fully adhear. Rookie mistake, I guess. But luckily this is a huge roll, so any mistakes can be done over. Like I said, I'm not a carpet laying pro. Just a dog mom who came home to an unplanned home remodel, courtesy of my puppy. It has been a couple weeks and it's still holding down, and slowly (even after buying a seam roller) blending together. Not perfect, but did the trick. I would have to assume that if carpet installing or repair was a normal skill, for me, I would find this product to be good quality at a good price. Photos (for fun) of the culprit proud of himself and his older brother inspecting my handy repair work.

Suitably Sticky
Worked well for what I needed. The tape is very sticky and easily adheres to the back of carpet.

Good Alternative To Standard Iron/Tape
Definitely seems to work. I like to use this on smaller/inconspicuous areas such as in closets or when having to splice the carpet around and object and have a shorter seam to close back up. Havent tried it on a full length bedroom seam or anything so cant speak to that. No call backs from customers when I have used it though.

Meh
It's ok. The tape is certainly sticky, but it doesn't really do a good job actually keeping/holding the carpet seams together. I used this on my stair runner to join two pieces together on the landing. It's holding for now, but if I look close enough, the pieces have already started to separate in some areas. Hopefully the crown staples will help keep the rug in place so separation doesn't become too obvious.

VERY, VERY, VERY sticky! Be careful not to make a mistake because when this tape adheres to your carpet or padding, IT IS ON THERE FOR GOOD! Does not cut well because of the amount of adhesive on both sides. I all but ruined a pair of construction scissors and my utility knife. Still... a good product. Just take your time!
