Worth the money
A bit pricey compared to standard electrical boxes, but very well-made, and shipped with everything you’d need for most applications. I had to move a 50 amp outlet for a new range, and this box gave me extra clearance when putting the new range in place. Huge plus is having the option to install as new or old work.

Best option
expensive, but it's the best.

Great Box! Secure, Deep, and Sturdy.
This box is truly wonderful - offering a recessed outlet as well as passage for low voltage wiring. I especially like the fact that it can easily be mounted directly to a stud after cutting a hole in the drywall and using the screws provided (I do not like mounting a box just to the wall). The clips that would be used for a retrofit application and be mounted to the wall itself are quite sturdy. The entire plastic construction is thick and made with good rigid plastic. The blue plastic boxes normally used for switches and receptacles and held in place with nails are considerably more flexible/deformable than this box. To hide any of the holes used for affixing the box, there is a nice cover plate that aesthetically does its job well. One thing to note is that it is deep, so when installing it, be careful not to push too hard to get it in the wall - you may push on the drywall on the other side and cause damage to it (make sure wires do not run behind the box as it will need the full depth of the wall.

Great idea!
I mounted one of these in my wall so I could have power, TV, and gigabit ethernet right there in the bedroom. It's behind a large bureau, and the minimum clearance is now only the thickness of the fattest cable. Normally, a TV coax cable would need at least 2 or 3 inches because the connector sticks out so far, a power plug would need at least 1 inch (even a right angle plug), and the ethernet needs at least an inch so that the delicate cable doesn't get pinched and damaged in a tight 90 degree bend. Now the bureau is snugged right up against the wall as far as the baseboard will allow - maybe 1/2".This thing works beautifully. I installed it where I used to just have a simple standard duplex power outlet. It has diagonal screw holes to allow you to fasten it to a wall stud, and other hardware to pull the box forward until it's flush. The only thing I would caution you about is that this thing is pretty darn deep. I got lucky in that my wall has enough depth to accommodate it, but I highly recommend measuring your available depth before cutting. Otherwise, you might be very very sorry. Especially since the required cut-out hole is much bigger than a standard double-gang outlet box. One nice thing about this is that it allowed me to get my small-but-powerful Milwaukee 2401-22 12-Volt Li-Ion Compact Driver Kit in there to drill a pilot hole through the 2x4 and floorboard into the basement. Otherwise, I would have been drilling blindly upwards into my house with a 3/4" bit to route the cables. And I would have totally gotten it wrong. Ouch!Add two decora-style accessories to this and you're good to go. I chose a 2-plug power outlet and a Decora Type Keystone Insert 2 Ports White (but they're available in up to 6 Model ADCWP6W 6 port Keystone Decora Style Insert Strap, white ). I'm about to order 2 or maybe even 3 more of these for the rest of the bedrooms and living room. Great product!

Definitely a good buy it you want your set up slim!
I used this and the triple gang when turning and unfinished basement into a theater living area.I put the double behind the tv and the triple behind the receiver cabinet. I love that I can push my furniture all the way against the wall and not worry about bending cables.Minus 1 star for one reason:I used one of the gangs in each box to run low voltage wire from the speakers and from the receiver to the tv. Once your faceplate is one it’s really tough to reach in and feed the wire or reach in a grab the wire without taking the faceplate off. This is only something you do one in a blue moon and I really don’t have a better solution so it’s not a big deal.Oh also if you have never installed a remodel box I recommend YouTubing that first.I am really happy with the purchase.

Mounts in a Standard Depth Stud - Clean Install
I recently purchased and installed this so that I could hide all the cords behind my wall mounted plasma television.Just so everyone knows, this is a gang box only. You will still need to purchase the electrical outlet, HDMI outlet, etc of your choice to install. When the box first arrived it looked like it might be too large to install in a standard wall depth (2X4 studs are generally 3 & 3/4 inches deep). I put a measuring tape on it before cutting into my wall and it fit.The gang box can be used in new construction or old construction applications. My application was an old construction situation where I cut out the drywall and set the box in the new hole.Overall, the installation went well and I am satisfied with the outcome. One thing I must point out is that the gang box relies on a cover piece to pull tension against the sheet rock to stay in place. It is the second piece from the right in the exploded product photo. This piece is not perfectly flush with the wall. It will stick out about 3 or 4 mm (about the thickness of a wall socket cover). This typically is not a big deal, but if you require an absolutely flush application, this might not be the solution for you.The best benefit of this item was that I ended up with an HDMI outlet and a Leviton 47605-ACS J-Box Surge Protective Kit - Single AC Power Module that were both mounted in a recessed manner into the wall. This meant that when I plugged in the television and HDMI cable the plugs did not bump into the television. The television is completely wire free to the eye and does not look as imposing now.Hope this helps. Feel free to comment if you have any questions.

A Good Solution
If you're looking to get rid of cable clutter, this is a good solution! Cheaper than the box stores, and not cheaply made. Thick plastic and wire grommets make for a nice clean install.

Recessed plug
The screws holes to attach the finishing faceplate do not match the casing. I had to drill new holes which didn’t work so had to glue additional plastic to mount the faceplate.
