Best cat toy out there!
I have spent hundreds of dollars on toys for my cat, and this is by far his favorite and costs just a few dollars. It's simple - just a wire and some rolled up cardboard, but he goes bonkers for it. The wire is of course very durable, and the cardboard bits are surprisingly tough given how much my little ginger demon chews on them. I've purchased these several times and will continue to do so.

For the money...BEST CAT TOY EVER MADE!!! Unbelievable!
***This review is for the one with the Wall mount , but same product and this product is referenced in review***This is quite honestly, the most simple, cheap, annoyingly designed cat product ever made. That being said, it is the best money I have EVER spent for a cat toy.I can't recommend this highly enough. I have 3 male cats. (see video) Two of them, the black and white big one, Rocko, and the Orange skinny one, Fletch, are both 11 years old. The black and grey smaller one, Greggor, is 8 years old. They all have different personalities, like different toys, and are NOT easily amused. For instance, Rocko will chase the knot on the end of a 3 foot rope tied to the end of a 2 foot stick all day. Greggor may join in. Fletch will just watch. Fletch will play with those balls with the slits in them and the bells inside (of course only the pink ones) as well as the round toy where you bat the ball in a circle. Greggor, maybe will use the round toy where you bat the ball in the circle. Rocko, will just watch. Greggor on the other hand, LOVES those milk rings from plastic 1 gallon milk cartons. He will play with them nonstop. Rocko and Fletch. Nothing. So with all that being said, they are all mesmerized by this. When you get it, you will be like, what? This is it? And you will say WTF! (Sorry, but you will) I first bought the one with the sponge paw mounting device, which again, when you see it will say, "yeah...that will stay on the wall" and you will think what a cheap piece of junk. So you will then put it up, slide the little end in the paw, bend it appropriately and watch your cats go nuts. I use a little piece of duct tape to hold the top of the paw or the wire will slide out easier. But the cool thing is, just because you put the mount up, doesn't mean the dancer has to stay in it. You can remove it from the paw and use it with your hand or tape it to the end of a yard stick. I personally just bought another one without the paw and taped it to a stick. My advice to mounting are 2 things. One, mount it like in my video, in a door way. And Two, mount the paw right under a light switch that is usually right next to a doorway that way you can use duct tape to hold the end of the mounting device w/out sticking duct tape to your wall. It sticks on the light switch plate and the paw, hence not having duct tape sticking to your wall. Now as far as if the paw will remove paint from your wall if you move it. I DON'T KNOW. But as you will see in my video, I always have a calendar hanging there so if it does effect the paint, I don't really mind. Then again I don't see myself taking the paw off the wall unless it comes off on its own, then I will just re-hang it with double sided tape or buy another one. (watch the whole video and you will eventually see the paw mount toward the end of the video...I wasn't using the duct tape then and you may not, but Rocko wants to rip it down so the tape is needed. Kittens and smaller cats you may not need to use any tape)Of course all cats are not alike and some may not like it. But people, give them a chance. You may have to put it on a stick and wave it around for a while to get them used to it. I have one on a stick and one on the wall. I have noticed that they don't play with the one on the wall as much, mostly because it's not moving. But if you look in my video, I usually have a fan running hence, the thing moves so they are more apt to play with it when it's moving. But the one on the stick...if I take that one out they are all going nuts from the time I bring it out until they either tire out, or I put it away. (I usually tire out before them)Lastly, the coolest thing is, when against a dark background, it sometimes literally looks like its floating in mid air. The wire is thin and the little cardboard rolls make it look kind of like a moth flying around. The other neat thing is the wire is bendable so you can bend it in many places to get it to stand out from the wall, so in my video it sticks out into the doorway.Bottom line, just buy 2 of these off the bat. One with the paw and one without, unless you have 2 places you might want to mount it. I have one mounted on the wall and one on the end of a stick and my cats after a month are still in love with this thing. One last bit of advice, I wouldn't leave it up all the time as just like anything, they may get bored with it, especially when you introduce it to them. But remember, unless it's moving, they are less likely to play with it. So maybe even set up a little portable fan a couple feet away when you mount it to make it move. It's only been a month, but spending $7.21 for both (I get free shipping with Prime) was the BEST money I have ever spent for a cat toy. They could sell this for $15.99 and if mine wore out or broke, which I can't see happening anytime soon, I'd still buy another one. If your skeptical, just buy one, pay the extra $1.19 for the sponge mounting paw and see if your cat(s) like it.Hope this long review and video helps! Happy hunting for your cat(s)!

Playtime has been revamped! (My toes approve lol)
Our cat, Gremlin, has recently been kind of ignoring her other three wand type toys but she’s only about a year old and has a lot of energy so she’s been a bit of a menace. And has been attacking our toes. A lot. I got her this toy because about ten years ago I recall having purchased this for my sister’s cats and them loving it. The verdict has been reached: People, this is the best $4 I have ever spent on my cat! She is going absolute nutty over this thing!! Backflips, somersaults, and aerial ambush attacks all included lol.I think this toy’s wiggling, bouncing motion is really what makes all the difference. Gremlin has been super excited the handful of times an unfortunate fly has gotten into our house. She stalks and smacks this toy just like she does with flies. It also kind of bounces and wiggles like a flying insect when I hold it so I think that, plus the unpredictable way that it moves, keeps Gremlin very entertained! I will let it wiggle through the air but also drag it along the floor and across the couch etc to keep playtime varied and interesting. We’ve had this toy for three days now and as a result all other toys are being ignored lol. Our cat seems to especially like chewing on the cardboard end of the toy. The small size of the cardboard lure seems to keep it from being overwhelming or intimidating for our kitty, who is known for ignoring large plushie style cat toys. The design of this toy is extremely simple but in its simplicity lies the brilliance. It catches our cat’s attention without being overly complicated or bulky and the quality of the wire and cardboard seem good. The wire is pretty study so it maintains its shape but still springs back and forth easily. I can also appreciate that, just like the original I bought a decade ago, it’s made in a US factory and a solar-powered one at that! At least, according to the tag :) I also appreciate that the packaging is minimal and with that it’s reducing the amount of needless plastic waste. So, in summary this toy is cat-approved, easy to use, really inexpensive, well-made and eco friendly. This is definitely worth trying out for your cats!

Used professionally. This is the secret weapon against kitties who ignore other toys.
I've worked in 3 cat shelters and 2 cat kennels, and these are the one thing that you'd five in all five locations. These are magic. I've handled hundreds of cats and kittens, and this is the number one toy I reach for. There's a few big reasons why this toy is great. 1) You can use both sides of it. Feel shy kitties that are easily overstimulated you can use the back side with the single cardboard roll. 2) the movement from the spring steel perfectly bounces around in a way that cats find interesting and also minimize the amount of work you have to do. You can largely hold it still and the cat will bounce it around on their own, making extended playtime sessions as easy as just holding the Dancer. I'll even close one end in a drawer and let the other size hang out and the kitty will play with it without you even having to be there. 3) This is a big one: cats secretly just love trash. Hairties, boxes, ball of tape, balls of paper, paper bags, ziptie, etc. Cats will always choose random trash over a fancy toy, and this toy simulates that by being made with trash, which I say with absolute love in my heart because cats ALWAYS choose this toy over others, and this is priced to match the materials. It's always seemed like the only toy where the creator paid attention to what cats actually like and not what they think humans will think is cute.So again, its:CheapLoved by cats above any other toySimulates chasing a bugVery active playRequires minimal work from the humanSold literally anywhere cat stuff isRecommended by every feline professionalDo your kitty a favor and buy like 6 of these. This is easily the best cat toy ever made and they cost like no money. As a cat professional, I guarantee your cat will love this to death.

Even the feral cats love this!!!
This arrived just yesterday, but already I love this thing! Not only are my kittens obsessed with this toy, this is the only toy I have EVER gotten the feral cats to play with! The kittens go nuts sitting back on their hind legs, pawing at the air and flipping over trying to catch it. I really like how they get so into it but they don't get the same borderline aggressive tunnel vision like they do when I bring out da bird toy. I hold it up over their heads, drag it along the floor and just wiggle it. It is definitely the kind of toy that you need to put away once your done playing with it. I may try and stick/ wedge it to something like a wall or scratch post so that I wont have to hold it, but even then that wouldn't be permanent. I can see this toy being the perfect playtime activity before bed so the kitties will sleep through the night.BUT what I am really impressed with is the fact that I was able to "play" with the feral cats. The mom of my kittens was in the house for the first few months of their lives, but after I got her spayed she wanted nothing more than to get back outside. She refuses to play with toys, stares at me like I'm crazy when I bring out the laser and is both interested and intimidated by da bird. ***This toy however, is a different story. perhaps the fact that it's just a bit of cardboard on a wiggly wire makes it less intimidating while still so inviting. Not only did the mama cat play, another random feral cat who runs whenever he see's me got into it too! What I did was flatten the cardboard pieces and stuck the toy through the gap under the screen door. I wiggled it, made it jump and dance and within two minutes they were batting at it and playing. Since I was behind the screen they weren't so scared. After a while I opened the door and played with the mom who actually rolled on her back batting at it (this is kind of a big deal, since the mom is skittish and only friendly right before it's time to eat). The other feral cat didn't realize I was attached to the toy so he as he pounced he looked up and saw me then ran away, but just far enough to hide and watch. So the point of this story is that if you are trying to befriend a feral cat, this toy is excellent because it's not loud and intimidating, it moves haphazardly probably like a wounded animal and because it is a thick, but wiggly and bendable wire you can play while remaining somewhat inconspicuous which may help to establish trust.Overall, I give this 5 stars for the simplicity, construction and inexpensive price tag.

My lazy players went crazy for this!
My cats LOVE this toy. They are usually pretty lazy or disinterested in a lot of toys, but both of my cats were immediately interested. Typically, one of my cats is timid when our other cat begins to play with something, but not the Cat Dancer. She really wants in on the fun and plays right along with him.My only complaints is that this isn't terribly friendly for people with certain physical limitations. The "handle" is just another of the rolled up cardboard and fatigues my fingers. The other more important thing to me is that the wire could be quite a bit longer. I have to bend to really get the toy to touch the ground and move it around for the kitties.All-in-all, great toy though. So simple but insanely effective!

My cat is obsessed
This is one of the only toys that my cat goes crazy over. It's so easy to use and great for the price. I wish it came with a little wall hanger or something so I could hang it from the wall when i'm not playing with her, but i've found that I can wedge one end of it into my dresser drawers and that does the trick. Durable and great.

The best! Especially if you're disabled!
You know when you buy a kid/pet a really expensive thing, but they are more interested in the box? Well. That isn't the case with this super awesome toy! This thing is THE BEST.I bought 3 of these for the three cats we have. I am disable and I struggle with playing with the cats. I'm not able to run them out and most toys they are bored of immediately. However, these are LIFE CHANGERS.Reasons why:*It's easy to use for the human & pet. It's simple, light weight but acts exactly like a small bug. The weight on the end of both sides is a perfect balance because it allows the toy to flutter, without huge arm movements for me.*It's inexpensive. So if this gets torn up I can get another one. It's super durable though, so I don't think it's going to need to be replaced any time soon.*You can reuse the wire! After this needs to be replaced, I can reuse it to hang a picture or in some wire wrap. It's so basic and yet so well thought out that the materials can be reused!*Wonderful for elderly babies too! My 18 year old Tortie (pictured) hasn't played this much in years. She has a torn hip and is better, but isn't one to jump all nuts like the other two boys we have. So she usually just sleeps and gets brushed. I took this thing out and OH MY GOSH she's so excited!! I'm also not exhausted playing with her, so we can play more!*The size is perfect!!!! The one end is weighted enough with the heavy duty material, wrapped so well that it's safe to use. The little pieces on the end is a great material that is also safe if my kitties run into it. They can bite it safely and bat at it without it crumbling horribly.Listen, I had some low expectations but the fact that this is priced so well, is so simple and yet such high quality AND I'm able to interact with my cats and help them workout while not harming myself, is a HUGE WIN for us. This toy actually makes me WANT to play with them, vs worrying about harming myself while playing. Let me emphasize the fact that I MISS being able to play with my fur babies and this toy is giving me a bit of that joy back in spades!!!!Thank you seller, for not just helping our fur babies have fun, but for doing something so simple to help make a difference in my disabled life too!!!!
