Mixes well in cold water. Price beats the liquid by TONS!
This was the best-priced Gatorade powder anywhere, even compared to Walmart. It's a shame that the price has gone up for it. It now fluctuates between $20/can and $16/can (give or take some change). I hope they can lower the price back down eventually. But this product saves SO much money compared to buying 32-oz Gatorade drinks.Blue Frost is the only flavor of Gatorade I drink! I'm not the only one out there - you know who you are! The sugar content is equal to the liquid, too. It even mixes in cold water.Even when the price goes up for this product, it's still WAY cheaper than buying the liquid drinks. $15 - $20 for 9 gallons? 9 gallons is equal to 36 bottles of 32oz Gatorade. Say you buy these by the 6-pack, for say $1.50 each? That's still $54! Even if you pay $1 per 32-oz bottle...you'd be paying $36! Plus...you can make it by the GALLON! I don't want a million bottles of Gatorade in my fridge! I want my gallon pitcher! My son plays soccer, so he drinks it too. I chug it when working outside, because it helps reduce cramping and replaces electrolytes.

Make sure to keep it dry!
Why do they even make other flavors? Everyone knows the blue stuff is there best!First off, don't worry about the newer better marketed formulations. You won't notice any difference. It's just better advertising so they can charge more.I've been using the powdered mix for a while and will never go back. It is vastly cheaper this way, and you can control the flavor more easily. It comes with a scoop and I find one scoop is about right for 32 oz. of water. If I'm not sweating much I decrease that to 1/2-3/4 of a scoop. To much of this stuff can lead to kidney stones with a lot of use, so if you're not sweating much, don't use too much. The one big warning is simple. Don't let any water or excess moisture get into the can. Everything will clamp together, harden, and become impossible to scoop. Aside from this, when it gets wet it has a lot of potential to spoil.Don't wash your hands immediately before using unless you THOROUGHLY dry them off first. Even excessively high humidity can ruin the whole thing. These aren't complaints, just make sure you keep the powder safe and dry.As long as the inside of the can stays perfectly dry, this is great and I completely recommend it.

I buy it all the time
Makes so much Gatorade, kids can fill up their water bottles as much as they like to take it to go and I add a little less or ice to bring down the sugar,

Economical and tastes great!
For years, I've been drinking the Frost Glacier Gatorade that comes in individual bottles. I love the taste, but not the price. I was glad to find this powder and decided to give it a try. The taste is just slightly different from what I'm used to in the bottles, but it's still very good. I keep a pitcher mixed and ready in the fridge, and often drink the entire pitcher in one day. At this price, it's so much more economical to satisfy my Gatorade cravings this way. By the way, the can I received had no damage on it whatsoever. I'll be enjoying this powder for a long time, and would recommend it to anyone who likes bottled Gatorade.

The math checks out!
Let's do some math here. This amount of Gatorade powder makes 36 quarts. That's 1152 fluid ounces. If we take the price per fluid ounce of this powder, it comes out to 10.99 / 1152 = .00954 dollars per ounce.I also researched average price of a 24 pack of Gatorade (at 20 ounces per bottle), which came out to around $30. The price per fluid ounce here is 30 / (24 * 20) = .0625The ratio of price of bottled Gatorade to price of powered Gatorade is .0625 / .00954 = 6.55.That is to say buying bottled Gatorade in a 24 pack is 6.55 times more expensive than buying this canister of powder, on a per-ounce basis.Further, the price of that 24 pack (30 dollars) divided by this ratio of price (6.55) yields the price it would be to buy a 24 pack as if it were the same price per ounce of this canister. 30 / 6.55 = 4.58. Imagine buying a 24 pack of Gatorade for $4.58.Let's observe the difference in price: 30 - 4.58 = 25.42. So if the Gatorade in that 24 pack (theoretically) costed us only $4.58, there's $25.42 going towards what? The plastic in the bottles? The packaging? The convenience of not adding water? The convenience of portability? These are all perfectly good outlets for the remainder of the money in the $30, but finding a bottle and pouring some water isn't worth an extra $24.42 to me.This is a fantastic deal, and I will buying this again when I run out, guaranteed. Thank you Amazon!

Tastes Okay and Cheaper than buying the bottles
To avoid dehydration I need to drink between 3 - 4 quarts of fluid a day but really hate drinking plain water and started getting burned out on iced tea. I've recently been buying alot of bottles of Gatorade and wanted to find a less expensive solution and came across their powder.Pros: Flavor is the same as what comes in the bottle. Can make 9 gallons with this size container.Much less expensive than buying 36 individual quart bottles.Eliminates the need to throw away 36 plastic Gatorade bottles.Cons: Dextrose and Sugar are the 1st ingredients. 80 calories per serving isn't huge but it's not something I need.Potassium is 1% RDA per 12 oz. serving. Would prefer something in the 10% - 15% range.Gatorade is probably the best known brand when it comes to sports drinks but as more consumers focus on what is going into their food, Gatorade might want to consider coming up with a healthier alternative. For example, use Stevia as sweetener(or even a blend of sugar and Stevia like some soft drink companies are experimenting with), add additional potassium and maybe throw in some other vitamins and minerals, and stop using artificial colors and non-natural ingredients, etc. The usual set of things.
