A tool roll make you realize what you need to carry
I needed to replace the bulky tool bag that I had been carrying in my car. As I gradually added tools that I needed but used infrequently and NEVER would use away from home, the bag had become my general purpose tool box. It was heavy and bulky. That bag was always in the way or inconvenient to get to. The tools within it were always jumbled and hard to locate.A tool roll looked like a solution to most of these problems.I chose this roll because of the socket pockets and the way that compartment closed. Having it available in red was an advantage; a black bag in a black car interior with reduced lighting is hard to locate and harder to work with.I could have put all my smaller sockets in the socket pockets. Instead I opted to use them for the 3 most frequently used sizes for my Honda in 3/8 and 1/4, a plug socket (side-wise), plus a swivel and reduction adapter. I used the first 2 side pockets for socket extensions, then inserted the combination wrench sizes I had used in the recent past, a pair of 6" screwdrivers, a magnetic pickup tool and inspection mirror, two socket handles and a crescent wrench. There are some unused pockets and it took a little juggling to make this roll up compactly. It is heavy but compact. The tool roll fits down in one of the under-utilized small back side pockets of my Honda Element, along with a breaker bar with lug socket, wheel chocks, gloves and a flashlight. I wish I'd had it 16 years ago when I got my first Element. The roll actually fits within my tool bag, so if I need to tote a full set of tools, I can.Pros and cons: The closure bands are harder to work with than straps with snap buckles would be, but they don't require adjustment, and when the roll is closed they don't protrude or have dangling ends. The roll interior is a dark color, and will conceal soiling, but makes it harder to locate pockets when restoring tools after a job, and precludes labeling their positions with marker outlines. (Personally, I wish all tool bags had light/bright interiors.)I think this is a fine tool roll and a great value for the price.

Decent for the price, but not perfect
Just got it yesterday so I can't vouch for durability, but if I have any problems in that regard, I will certainly update.Overall it seems like a well made product. Strong materials and heavy stitching. The buckle seems a bit cheap. That is my only real concern. I could see it breaking well before anything else. Once that goes, it's pretty much useless. It only has ten pockets but they're roomy enough that you can double-up tools if you need to. It's pretty small compared to most which is what I like most about it. I have a tool backpack and this fits perfectly at the bottom of the bag. I have it loaded with two sets of wrenches. A 15-pc open end set and a 6-pc flex-head ratchet set. So, despite it's compact size, it will hold quite a bit. That is as long as that buckle doesn't break. In short, decent product for the price. Nice and compact. Perfect for the home mechanic on the move looking to save space. I'd probably buy it again.

Sturdy, Heavy Duty, Large Tool Roll
I initially bought a smaller soft sided tool kit pouch but quickly outgrew it, even though my intention was to have a small tool kit with just the essentials. For solo ADV motorcycle touring, the essentials are more than most of us would initially assume. That's where this large tool roll comes in handy.Quite a bit of the bulk is the tool roll itself and not the tools, but that extra material is essential for organization. I know some people prefer a simple bag and a small ground cloth they can use to dump their tools onto the ground, and there is some minimalist merit to that approach, but it's very handy to unroll a tool roll and everything is where it should be.Pro Tip: Use your tool roll when performing routine maintenance so you'll realize what tools are working and what aren't... before you need the tools out in the less accommodating real world.Your tool needs will vary depending on the bike you have, but here's my tool roll contents to help get you started.BMW tool kit (carried under the seat) Hook wrench to adjust rear suspension preload 27mm box end axle wrench Extension handle for above two wrench heads Two way reversible screwdriver Set of three double ended open end wrenches Spare fuses and fuse puller 5mm hex keyGerber MultiPlier - always carried in my pocketMountain bike pump (Amazon: B01LZ4IOVZ)Tubeless patch kit (Amazon: B000AMKU3K)Extra tire patch cords (Amazon: B000ET8D0G)Tire gauge (Amazon: B0842BDBPS)4-Way valve tool with spare valve cores (Amazon: B0020T17J2)Spare valve stem dust capsChain toolTwo master links (Amazon: B06XBV4B99)Five link piece of spare chainMotul Chain Paste (Amazon: B008KJT2SE)Motion Pro 08-0389 T-Handle with 8,10,12,13mm sockets (Amazon: B000GZJF1Y)Metric hex key set (Amazon: B000E7ZQIA)Crescent wrench, 8" (Amazon: B00002N5L0)Needle nose mini Vise Grips (Amazon: B0000BYD9A)Duct tape (wrapped around Crescent wrench handle)Electrical tape (wrapped around Crescent wrench handle)Stainless safety wireCable ties - 50 pound test, 10"Wire ties - 18 pound test, 4"Remoil - 0.5 ounce, screw top bottleJB Weld SteelStik (Amazon: B0030MN6RO)Small vial of purple thread locking compound (Amazon: B004UMOHN0)12 AWG wire, 12 feetSpare fusesSpare turn signal and brake bulbsKevlar Cord for towing and rescue, 50' @ 2000 pound test (Amazon: B01850OST0)Alcohol prep padsNitrile glovesBlue shop towels (lint free paper towels)Sandpaper stripHeadlamp, lithium battery, USB rechargeable (Amazon: B079CBJ6QZ)Spare stainless metric fasteners

Great for my motorcycle tool roll
I was putting together a very specific set of the exact tools I need to maintain my motorcycle on long road trips. This tool roll ended up being perfect for my use case. Everything fits nicely with some room for expansion in the future. It rolls up tightly and ends up being a very compact way to carry everything and keep all essential tools in one place. The material and craftsmanship feel very good.
