I have a 2012 sienna and the bug deflector went on in less than 5 minutes, and I timed it. I had read other reviews and was a bit worried but it was a perfect fit. arrived in perfect condition, excellent instructions. looks great and will do the job for years to come. some others have commented on the plastic plug/screws that hold it on, yes they could be a bit better, but it is on firm and tight and after miles of highway driving it still is tight. i will check them when i refill the washer fluid, but i dont have any fears. Great price and it looks awesome on my Sienna.UPDATE: It is 2 years now and the unit is still on and looking great. It has survived ice and snow and car washes without fading or cracking or falling off. What I do is check every oil change to make sure the locking pins are pushed in tight, that is it. Great product and it keeps on looking great with no issues at all on my 2012 Sienna.

Perfect for my 2014 Sienna! Now i don't have to worry about getting dings and small chips in my hood with this thing attach.Very easy to install no need for sticking the shield with tape. It is securely mounted in 4 holes under the hood.I live in AZ and the roads/freeways always have small rocks flying around the causes dings, dents, worse cracked windshield.Now my windshield doesn't caught as many bug splatters as it use to be and lessen the chances of getting my windshield damage with small rocks. Excellent hood shield to protect your investment.

I really liked this accessory for my Sienna, the order arrived earlier than expected, so that's a positive point first of all. Second, the only thing that i didn't like but it isn't something to care about, was the package, the box that this came in is really huge, like 3 times the length of the accessory, i don't live inside the US, so i have to order everything to a courier, then they ship it to my country, and i have to pay for the weight of the package, so, in this case, i had to pay 7 pounds for something that is only like a pound, just because of the package, but as i said before, for the people that live inside us, there's nothing to care about. The install was so easy, and it fits my vehicle perfeclty, just love it right now.

Just purchased 2017 Sienna, this is a great addition and a nice investment. My wife and kids love the look. I lost a fastener but the customer service promptly responded and send me another hardware kit. I'm very impressed with their prompt and kind service. Money well spent!!

Update: (bumped up to 4 stars) almost two years after I installed this it's still looking pretty good. I've made over a dozen long (10+ hrs) road trips and I think this has really helped protect my hood from getting caked with bug juice and nicked by flying bits of road debris. I still get bugs on my windshield but I don't mind the effort to clean it as long as the hood itself stays relatively clean.Original review:Giving a neutral rating for now (3 stars). The shield fits perfectly on my 2013 Sienna but I will see how this works after some use. For now, I'll just cover packaging and installation. Synopsis: Installation took more effort than I expected. The box this comes in seems way bigger than it needs to be with no protection against damage while shipping.Installation, per the instructions, should have been less than 5 minutes but it took longer than that because the screws on the fasteners need to be pushed in and that takes some effort to do; you have to push in hard until you get the threads to pop a couple of times before you can screw it all the way down. After struggling a bit with the first two fasteners, I got the remaining two in quicker since by then I knew how much effort I had to exert to get it to pop in. I used a smaller flathead screwdriver since the "phillips" slot on the plastic screws is really too shallow to use a phillips screwdriver effectively.Since others had complained about losing their fasteners during installation, I draped an old picnic blanket over the engine while I was installing the shield. A good idea because the fasteners popped out a few times during installation and the blanket kept them from falling into the engine compartment. I recommend installing the fasteners one at a time, keeping the rest in the bag in the meantime to minimize the risk of losing anything. I agree with the reviewer who said that AVS should include some extra fasteners in case you lose or break some during installation.Like another reviewer, I stuck the little bump pads on the underside of the shield at the tips where they were most likely to bend back and touch the hood. The instructions say to stick the bump pads on the hood itself but on the shield works better for me.As also noted in another review, the box this product comes in seems way too big. The shield and everything else (4 plastic fasteners, 4 bump pads, AVS logo, and the instruction sheet) is wrapped in plastic and that's it, no padding or styrofoam or anything that would require such a big box. No biggie but you'd think they'd put something in to protect the product against damage during shipping.

I have installed many bug deflectors/ hood shields in my time. As a mechanic, I have never seen a model with a worse, cheaper, poor design style mounting screw system. Of the 4 plastic expansion screws fasteners not one of them would tighten properly. I had to modify and use metal screws inside the plastic expansion pieces to get a decent mount. The deflector itself is ok, design, mount hole line up. I would never purchase this brand again because of the mounting hassle. I have used this brand in the past and this was not a issue. Something has changed with mount screws. It turned a 5 minute job into a 30 minute job. For someone who is not mechanically inclined and wants a simple no hassle install this is not the one to get.I have also contacted Auto Ventshade with my issues with mounting.
