Excellent Choice for First-Time Boaters! Great for Plus-Size Mariners, Too!
After doing a little research, the Intex Seahawk boat series seemed the best buy overall. Everything included in the box gets you on the water in about 15-20 minutes. The hand-pump is A VALUABLE MUST-HAVE! It inflates the three Seahawk chambers quickly and efficiently and you WILL want to keep it on the boat with you. The oars are pretty strong with good grips on them. The boat itself is a dream. My friend and I are both 6 feet tall and together with our gear, lunch, and tackle box, the Seahawk comfortably carried us (about 600 lbs altogether) and stayed inflated on the swamp for about two hours. Deflation is easy, too. The Seahawk folds nicely and fits in the back of a car or in a trunk. We've taken it out about three times now and each time has been better than the last, each with varying weight (but never nearing 810lbs like the Seahawk max capacity suggests). It's a very comfortable ride, too: we glided over the swamp like nothing, and even when the underside of the Seahawk hit reeds, branches, or logs just under the surface of the water, the strong PVC held up and moved us forward without any snagging. (Always check your boat before and after you take it out on the water, especially the seams and bottom. This thing holds up!)My only wish is that Intex would include a second 10 CM measuring "tape" in the repair/gear bag. The 10 CM measuring "tape" is a flimsy piece of plastic that allows you to properly measure two of the three chambers in the Seahawk to make sure that they aren't overinflated (which makes you more prone to punctures and leaks!). The piece of plastic is just that...a little strip that you have to keep in the gear bag, lest it be lost forever. Overall, I think the Seahawk is a great purchase and that Intex has a great product here for anyone who loves the outdoors and the water but doesn't have a lot of money or experience. Will be buying a smaller boat (probably the Challenger series) for single-person use! Thanks, Intex!

Brilliant Budget Friendly Boat!
This boat was a gift for someone and it is amazing! The boat is very easy to inflate, taking only a few minutes with an electric pump (which is not provided- use your own). The boat has been used in both freshwater and in saltwater for many trips. It is still in great condition and works great! It is a very good value for the price. It is very sturdy and even holds up to teenage boys! It is advertised as a three person boat, but really only fits two adults. We have fished in this boat and it's very durable. Comes with oars that are nice because they disassemble when needed for storage and are very lightweight. You can't go wrong with this great inflatable boat.

riff raft LOVE
i’m four years in with this baby and i tell anyone who will listen about my riff raft. i love it so much, it’s the poor man’s pontoon. i’m rough on my stuff, like this lives in an ikea bag in my car all summer and ive had to patch just one rip in the seam at the front and a couple other spots from being too rough around rocks when i first got it. highly recommend picking up a two-sided paddle and kneeling at the front and treating it more like a SUP board (with the added benefits of more storage and security and at a much better price point!) also recommend getting a little foldable anchor and bringing some inner tubes to blow up once you’ve found your spot in the middle of the lake. just faBulous. full swing summer fun ;)

Do your research FIRST
This is a cautionary tale. I grew up on Lake Michigan. I can swim, I have rowed a boat before, I know to watch weather conditions before I go on the water. I thought it would be “neat” to get a small boat to relax on in the water. I found myself a mile off shore without the ability to get back and had to be towed by another motorized boat.I could never seem to get the right rhythm with the oars and felt like I was going more in circles than moving forward. I definitely became panicked and was super grateful I had packed my cell phone in a waterproof bag and could reach someone who called for help. Once I reached shore, the ranger gave me this advice: never use an inflatable on a big lake, the current (as gentle as it seemed) was stronger than my rowing ability. Adding a small motor would have been better but still not preferable because the boat is so light.I re-read other reviews later (where were these when I first did my research!) and I now see why adding plywood to the bottom of the boat is a great idea. The boat floor is relatively firm but your weight will naturally create a slight dip which interferes with a gliding motion. It’s also recommended that you have 2 rowers to distribute weight and add power to your stroke.Easy to inflate/deflate. Good material. I’m so grateful this experience didn’t go completely sideways.

Good quality for a great price
I have taken this raft fishing several times, and I have been happy with the boat every time. The floor does not bow easily and it does not react harshly to movement in the boat. There have been no leaks, and it has went through rocks and rocks. For the money, I have been very happy.Pros:Compact enough to fit in my trunk when deflated.Very sturdy and can support two people and alot of fishing gear very well (we haven't tried out the rated capacity).Very maneuverable with one person, and still easy to row when there are two.No leaks or tears.Cons:The pump supplied is not very sturdy. The lid has to be screwed slightly loose, and sometimes the plunger breaks off the shaft. The supplied paddles aren't the best.It is barely big enough for two people and gear. It would be a very tight fit for three people.
